Fortitudo Bologna and Macron are starting their new partnership with a project rooted in Bologna and solidarity. The blue-and-white Club and the Italian brand have chosen to involve Bimbo Tu, the Bologna-based non-profit association, in a special initiative that will accompany the team during the opening part of the 2026/27 season, with the aim of providing tangible support to an organisation that has been a point of reference for the local community for many years.
The “Bimbo Tu Edition” has been created as a Game Set comprising two playing kits, featuring a clean, essential design that places the Association’s logo at the centre of the shirt, immediately below the player’s number. The Game Set will make its on-court debut at the 2026 LNP Super Cup and will accompany Fortitudo through the opening league fixtures, up to the match against Pistoia on 1 November, becoming the centrepiece of a fundraising project in support of Bimbo Tu.
The choice to support Bimbo Tu reflects a shared connection to the local area and an existing relationship. Both Fortitudo Bologna and Macron have been supporting the Association and its activities on an ongoing basis for some time, making it a natural step to work together on a project capable of involving the blue-and-white community and the city as a whole. Founded in Bologna in 2007, Bimbo Tu works alongside children and adolescents affected by diseases of the central nervous system and their families, providing assistance, accommodation and support throughout their treatment journey. In 2013, the Association was awarded the Silver Medal of Public Health Merit, recognising its work and contribution to the local community.
The fundraising initiative will begin with a donation to the Association equivalent to the value of two complete playing kits (24 kits), while also giving Fortitudo supporters the opportunity to play an active part in the fundraising campaign. The “Bimbo Tu Edition” Game Set will be available as a limited edition at selected shops across the city and through the dedicated page on the Macron website: for every “Bimbo Tu Edition” shirt purchased, €10 will be donated directly to the Association.
The funds raised through the project will support “La Quinta Dimensione”, Bimbo Tu’s initiative aimed at refurbishing the Paediatric Neurosurgery and Child Neuropsychiatry departments at Sant’Orsola Policlinico Hospital in Bologna through new interiors and innovative technologies. The project aims to make healthcare spaces more welcoming and better suited to the needs of the children and families who use them every day.
The initiative surrounding the “Bimbo Tu Edition” will also feature the Teddy Bear Toss, coming to the PalaDozza for the first time during the league match on Sunday 11 October, when Fortitudo will face Rimini. Supporters will be invited to bring a soft toy to the game and throw it onto the court, becoming an active part of the project.
Following the match against Pistoia, a delegation from Fortitudo Bologna and Macron will visit Bimbo Tu to deliver the soft toys collected during the Teddy Bear Toss, together with the total contribution generated through the project.
A further chapter in the partnership between Fortitudo Bologna and Macron will begin on 7 November. During the match against Urania Milano at the PalaDozza, the 2026/27 Game Set will make its official debut, having been unveiled a few days earlier at a dedicated event.
