Just one day later, the Sale Sharks have also unveiled the new away kit that the English club will wear throughout the coming season. As with the home shirt, the away kit is characterised by its shark fin pattern. The fabric used is also identical: Eco-Fabric, 100% polyester made from recycled plastic, a choice agreed upon by the club and its kit sponsor in the spirit of sustainability and respect for the environment.
The new ‘Away’ kit is maroon, also featuring a polo-style collar with white trim. The design of the away shirt is identical to that of the home shirt, featuring the distinctive texture with a sequence of shark fins on the shoulders, sleeves and sides in a slightly lighter shade of maroon and with an embossed pattern. The back of the neck is personalised with the team logo against a background that echoes the shirt’s design, whilst the Macron Hero and the club logo are printed in white on the chest.
The away kit also features the shark fin design in relief at the bottom of the back of the shirt, alongside the Sale Sharks’ founding date, 1861. The shorts are also maroon, with shark fin graphics on the sides. The same colour scheme is used for the socks, which have a white top band, whilst the horizontal band down the centre is also white.
The jerseys have a Body Fit cut; the main fabric used is Eco-Armevo and the inserts are made from Eco-Bodytex – materials which, as well as being lightweight and breathable, ensure maximum durability. The jerseys and clothing produced by Macron for the Sale Sharks are also available in the club’s dedicated section on the macron.com website.
