Everything is ready for the start of UEFA EURO 2024, the second consecutive European Football Championship in which Macron is an official partner of the UEFA for the kits of the refereeing teams officiating in Germany. The opening whistle is scheduled to sound in Munich on 14 June, with the opening match between Germany and Scotland, whilst the Final, which will decide the European champions, will take place on 14 July at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. It will be an intense month of top-class football in which the referees will also take centre stage, taking to the pitch in their new kits and technical wear produced by Macron, since 2019 “Official UEFA Referee Match Kit Supplier”.

The close collaboration between the Italian brand’s design department and the staff of UEFA’s refereeing department has, as always, resulted in garments made from high-performance, innovative materials that guarantee maximum comfort and practicality, enabling match officials, assistant referees and VAR officials to perform their vital roles to the very best of their ability. Garments with a sophisticated design and made from fabric Eco Fabric, 100% polyester made from recycled plastic and which tangibly demonstrate the commitment – shared by UEFA – to sustainability and environmental protection.

I new kits The kits that the referees will wear during the 17th edition of the European Championships feature an embossed design on the front of the shirt, which echoes the official graphic theme of the European competition. A reference to the competition’s graphics is also present on the outer back of the collar, where a thin line echoes the colours of the tournament’s official logo, which in turn is inspired by the flags of the various participating national teams. This year’s kit range includes, in addition to the colours neon red, neon blue e neon yellow, as well as a version black with gold detailing and a new version that is entirely Gold. The socks match the colour of the shirt, whilst the shorts are always black. On the chest, in black, is the Macron Hero logo and, on the left, the UEFA Match Official crest, whilst on the sleeves, the EURO 2024 patch is on the right and the “UEFA FOUNDATION’ patch on the left ”for children’. The message “BE A REFEREE” – the slogan of UEFA’s campaign to encourage more and more young people to pursue a career as a referee – will also be printed on all the shirts worn by match officials during the competition.

The kit provided to the UEFA refereeing team for EURO 2024 also includes a whole range of items for training, travel and official engagements, such as T-shirts, tracksuits, hooded sweatshirts, waterproof jackets and cotton polo shirts, all in dark green with a pinstripe design featuring fine, elegant embossed stripes. Among the new additions for this tournament is the training jersey, the first to be fully customised for a UEFA competition. The new Training Jersey is predominantly white with gold detailing on the crew neck and sleeve cuffs, and features the multicoloured graphic motif that characterises EURO 2024 in the centre of the chest.
