One month after the announcement of the agreement with European Professional Club Rugby, the organisation that organises the world’s most important club competitions in rugby, Macron and EPCR have unveiled the New game sets which will be used during the coming season. The kit will be worn by match officials and the refereeing staff of the Investec Champions Cup and the EPCR Challenge Cup. The technical garments are made from high-performance materials and, as with all Macron partners, are crafted from fabric Eco Fabric, 100% polyester % made from post-consumer recycled plastic, underlining the sustainable choice made by the Italian company and supported by all the clubs and federations that wear Macron kit.
Referees officiating matches in the Investec Champions Cup and the EPCR Challenge Cup will have at their disposal three games, one set in colour neon pink, blue e yellow. All the shirts feature a black mandarin collar, the same colour as the vertical stripes on the sides. The shorts are also all black with white drawstrings, whilst the socks match the colour of the individual shirts, with the ‘Macron Hero’ logo above the ankle. A further detail that characterises all the shirts is the geometric pattern – a sort of latticework – printed using sublimation, tone-on-tone and all-over. On the chest, also printed using sublimation in black, there is on the right the Macron the Hero, and on the left the logo of the EPCR.
All kits have a Slim fit and are made of fabric Eco Fightex with inserts in Eco Bodytex, materials which, as well as being lightweight and breathable, ensure maximum durability. These innovative materials guarantee maximum performance and comfort, enabling you to fulfil the vital role of race director to the very best of your ability.
The EPCR organises the Investec Champions Cup and the EPCR Challenge Cup. Regarded as the most important club rugby competitions, they involve 42 teams from eight different countries: England, France, Georgia, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa and Wales. Every year, the two finals take place in one of rugby’s most iconic cities. In 2025, they will be hosted at the legendary Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
