The Ospreys, a leading Welsh rugby club, have unveiled the New Euro game kit which will be worn during EPCR Challenge Cup matches, a competition that will kick off for Swansea’s XV on 8 December when the South African side, the Emirates Lions, visit the Liberty Stadium. The jersey makes a strong visual impact, much like the home and away kits unveiled in the summer, and conveys a dual message – both in its design and the materials used – in support of the fight against climate change, sustainability and respect for the environment. Macron In fact, he made the kit entirely from Eco Fabric, 100% polyester fabric (%) made from post-consumer recycled plastic.

The The Ospreys’ new Euro kit, featuring a polo-style collar with a two-button fastening, comes in two shades of blue: darker on the shoulders, chest, sides and back, and lighter on the centre front and sleeve cuffs. The jersey is entirely characterised by a geometric pattern whose colour and design evoke ice, to raise awareness of the problem of glacier melt caused by climate change. However, the blend of the two shades of blue has a dual meaning, as, in addition to the environmental issue, the shades outline the team’s iconic logo.

The back of the neck is personalised with a label featuring, in the background, the graphic design from the home shirt, including the club logo, the word ‘OSPREYS’, the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, to certify and highlight how each garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. On the chest, on the right, embroidered in white, the Macron the Hero, on the left the logo of the Ospreys always in white. The team’s distinctive crest is printed in white on the outer back of the collar, flanked by the acronym OITC namely OSPREYS IN THE COMMUNITY, a not-for-profit foundation which, together with the Welsh club, works and carries out activities to benefit the community.

Another distinctive detail that underlines the green philosophy shared by the club and its kit sponsor is the inner tape at the bottom of the shirt, on which the following text is printed: “THIS JERSEY IS MADE FROM 13 RECYCLED BOTTLES”, interspersed with the Ospreys logo. The shorts, featuring white drawstrings, echo the design on the shirt and the two shades of blue, with the lighter shade appearing on the side and inner panels. The light blue socks feature a sky-blue horizontal stripe down the centre, with the Macron Hero and the club logo in white, positioned at the front above the ankle and on the calf respectively.

The fit of the jumper is Slim fit, the main fabric used is Eco Armevo with inserts in Eco Bodytex e Eco Strong Mesh which ensure the shirt delivers high performance and durability, whilst also being lightweight and perfectly breathable. The new Euro kit, as well as the other shirts and the full range of fan merchandise, are available at the Swansea.com Stadium shop, the Ospreys shop in the Quadrant shopping centre and the Macron Sports Hub on Carmarthen Road in Cwmbwrla, Swansea, as well as at the a section dedicated to the Welsh club on macron.com.
