The close bond with one’s own city is the main theme of the new away kit that the Bolton Wanderers FC has unveiled and will wear throughout the coming season in EFL League One. The ‘Trotters’ supporters also had a say in the choice of this kit by taking part in the “Pick Our Kits” poll. An elegant shade of green and a unique design characterise this kit, which, in addition to the symbols that embody the club’s identity, reaffirms the shared commitment with the kit manufacturer to environmental and sustainability issues. All Bolton Wanderers FC kits for the 2024/25 season, as well as those from the previous season and those of all other professional clubs partnered with Macron, are made entirely from fabrics Eco Fabric, produced at 100% from recycled post-consumer plastic.

The new ‘Away’ features a mandarin collar in white knitwear with red-and-blue trim, the same colour combination found on the sleeve cuffs. The jumper is dark green and on the front and sleeves, it features an embossed design with repeating motifs depicting Bolton Castle and the elephant. This animal is, in fact, a symbol featured on the town’s coat of arms and can also be seen atop the canopy in Victoria Square. Two important elements of the town’s history are woven into the fabric of the team’s shirt, which represents it. On the chest, on the right and in white, the Macron the Hero, on the left the coat of arms of the Bolton Wanderers.

The back of the neck is personalised with the colours and crest of the English club, alongside the Macron logo and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’ which certifies that every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Italian brand’s Macron Campus. The hem of the jersey features a customised silicone-coated tape with the repeated inscription ‘THE ONE AND ONLY WANDERERS’. The word ‘WANDERERS’ is printed in white on the outside of the back of the neck. The shorts are white with dark green detailing, whilst the green socks have a white top edge with two thin red-and-blue horizontal stripes.

The new ‘Away’ kit has a fit Slim fit and are made entirely from fabrics Eco Softlock featuring a panel made of Eco Micromesh on the back, which makes the shirt lighter and more breathable.
