Just a few days after the announcement of the partnership agreement between Barbarian F.C. e Macron, the iconic number 15 of the rugby world has unveiled the new game set and the training jersey. The kit will accompany the “BaaBaas” in all the fixtures in which they will feature in 2024, starting with the match against Fiji, which will take place on 22 June in London at Twickenham Stadium.

The tradition of black and white is combined with the attention to detail, style and design that have made Macron a key benchmark in the world of rugby. A jersey that not only ‘tells’ the legendary story and symbols of the Barbarians, but also conveys a clear message of sustainability. The 2024 kit is, in fact, made from Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric made from recycled plastic, which demonstrates both the club’s and the technical sponsor’s commitment to environmental protection, as well as the high level of quality and technical excellence.

The Barbarians“ new shirt remains true to the traditional design featuring horizontal black and white stripes, which also appear on the shoulders and sleeves. It has a polo collar with a two-button fastening, in keeping with tradition. The inside of the collar and the sleeve cuffs feature a fine black-and-white pinstripe. The back of the neck is personalised with the Barbarian F.C. crest, the Macron logo and the inscription ”Designed in Bologna’, to certify and highlight how each garment is conceived, designed and developed in the Macron headquarters.

The horizontal stripes within the black section are embellished with a tone-on-tone, wave-shaped geometric pattern. On the chest, on the right, in black, is the Macron Hero; on the left, over the heart, is the club’s logo. Another distinctive feature of the Barbarians’ new kit is the inscription ‘FLAIR – COURAGE – SPIRIT – PASSION’, paired with the club crest, which appears on both sleeves. The club crest also features, in an embossed design, at the bottom of the back of the shirt. The kit is available in a Player body-fit version, as well as a Replica Supporters fit, in addition to the usual Cotton Replica in both long-sleeved and short-sleeved styles. The shorts are, as always, all black.  

Alongside the kit, the training jersey was also unveiled, featuring the return of the traditional Barbarians stripes but in a completely innovative way. The black base is paired with pink and light blue, both of which feature on the V-neck and sleeve hems, as well as in the geometric pattern that characterises the entire jersey.

Both jumpers have been made from Eco Fabric materials, specifically Eco Armevo with inserts in Eco Boditex, materials which, as well as being lightweight and breathable, ensure maximum durability.
