Stoke City FC and Macron, the English club’s technical partner, have unveiled the new 2026/27 Away Kit that the Potters will wear during the forthcoming EFL Championship season. The jersey pays tribute to one of the most distinguished figures in the history of Stoke-on-Trent, Reginald Mitchell CBE, the aeronautical engineer born in the Butt Lane district and designer of the Supermarine Spitfire, widely regarded as one of the most iconic fighter aircraft ever built. The kit celebrates the bond between the club, the city and one of its most recognisable symbols, reinterpreting through its design the spirit of determination, ingenuity and resilience that unites this shared history.

The new Stoke City FC 2026/27 Away shirt features a sublimated camouflage graphic inspired by the early camouflage schemes used on Spitfires when they first entered service. Traditional green and brown tones are complemented by striking red and blue details on the crew neck and sleeve cuffs, recalling the famous roundels that identified the Royal Air Force’s early aircraft. A design concept rich in historical references, transforming the jersey into a tribute to the industrial and aeronautical heritage of Stoke-on-Trent.

The visual impact is further enhanced by the use of the new Eco 3D Knit – Weave fabric, developed by Macron for this season’s collections. The innovative three-dimensional jacquard construction creates a raised geometric texture directly within the fabric, giving the jersey a refined tactile and visual finish.

On the chest, the white Macron Hero appears alongside Stoke City FC’s new club crest, applied using thermoplastic technology. The entire back panel of the jersey is anthracite and, on the retail version available to supporters only, the back neck features the inscription “RM / Spitfire”, while the lower left front of the jersey carries a dedicated logo depicting the unmistakable outline of the Spitfire together with the wording “Reginald Mitchell CBE (1895–1937)”.

The internal back-neck label is customised in the club’s colours (white, red and black) and features the new club crest, the Macron Hero and the wording “Designed in Bologna“, certifying that every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus.

The kit is completed by anthracite shorts with matching camouflage side inserts and anthracite socks featuring a double red and blue horizontal stripe on the turnover, echoing the jersey’s distinctive graphic elements.

The entire kit is produced using Eco Fabric, made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. In addition to the aforementioned Eco 3D Knit – Weave fabric used on the front panel and sleeves, the jersey also features an Eco Mesh James back panel and inserts, ensuring outstanding breathability.

The new 2026/27 Away Kit, together with the full Macron collection for Stoke City FC, will soon be available in the dedicated Stoke City section on macron.com.
