Edinburgh Rugby completes the unveiling of its Game Set for the new season with the new 2026/27 Euro Kit, designed by Macron, technical partner of the Scottish team. Created for the club’s European challenges in the EPCR Challenge Cup, the jersey draws inspiration from rugby tradition and the club’s history, reinterpreting them through a contemporary design.
The new 2026/27 Euro Kit takes inspiration from the aesthetics of classic rugby jerseys, featuring broad horizontal stripes alternating navy blue and burnt orange, enhanced by fine white detailing. The white polo collar, with a single-button fastening, further accentuates the vintage influence, giving the jersey a clean and timeless character.
Within the navy bands, the tone-on-tone graphic inspired by the rope wrapped around the anchor featured on Edinburgh’s city coat of arms returns from the Home Kit. The graphic detail is seamlessly integrated into the design, preserving its clean lines while adding depth to the surface of the jersey.
The defining element of the new Euro Kit, however, is the historic Edinburgh Rugby crest, featured on the club’s kit for the first time. Used until 1996, when the club moved into the professional era, the crest depicts the towers of the iconic Edinburgh Castle, accompanied by the word EDINBURGH. Applied in white on a blue background on the chest, the heritage crest becomes one of the key identity elements of the new jersey, highlighting the connection between the club and its history.
On the right side of the chest, the Macron Hero is embroidered in white, while the outer back neck is personalised with the wording EST 1872, the year Edinburgh Rugby was founded. Inside the collar, an orange elasticated tape features the wording ALWAYS EDINBURGH, repeated in navy blue.
As with the Home and Away Kits, the new Euro Kit also features a personalised inner-neck label in the club’s colours, displaying the Edinburgh Rugby crest, the Macron Hero and the wording Designed in Bologna, highlighting the creative and design process developed at the Macron Campus.
Finally, the anchor returns as an embossed detail at the bottom of the jersey. Echoing the feature found on the Home Kit, it completes the visual identity of the new design.
The kit is completed by navy blue shorts, featuring side panels with the graphic inspired by the rope from Edinburgh’s Coat of Arms, complemented by the historic crest applied to the right thigh. The navy blue socks feature an orange upper cuff with a fine horizontal white stripe.
The new Edinburgh Rugby Euro Kit is made by Macron using Eco Fabric, 100% polyester derived from recycled post-consumer plastic. The main fabric is Eco Armevo, combined with Eco Boditex and Eco Strong Mesh inserts to provide durability, lightness, comfort and breathability throughout international competition.
