Scottish Rugby Union and Macron unveil the new Home Kit for the 2026/27 season, a kit that reflects the identity of the Scottish National team through symbols deeply rooted in the country’s culture.

The new kit has been conceived by Macron Design Team as a visual expression of the spirit of the Scottish National team: a balance between tradition and modernity, combining the strength of Scotland’s national symbols with the determination with which players and supporters approach every challenge. Colours, graphic details and technical materials come together to tell a story of ambition, hope and pride.

The new Scottish Rugby Union 2026/27 Home Kit is presented in the traditional navy blue that has long been associated with Scottish rugby, enriched by light blue details on the collar, sleeve cuffs and shorts, as well as subtle yellow stitching running throughout the game set. Light blue piping along the sleeves highlights the “sand and ice” colour palette that inspires the overall design concept.

The sleeves, side panels and rear section of the jersey feature an embossed graphic in a slightly lighter shade of blue, composed of intertwined stag antlers. This distinctive design element adds depth and character to the shirt while paying tribute to Scotland’s cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from The Monarch of the Glen, Sir Edwin Landseer’s 1851 painting, now housed in the Scottish National Gallery. A graphic detail that combines national symbolism, tradition and identity, further strengthening the connection between the team and the country it proudly represents.

Displayed prominently on the chest in white are the embroidered Scottish Rugby Union crest on the left-hand side and the Macron Hero in 3D thermoplastic application on the right. The Scottish flag also appears on the right sleeve, produced in 3D thermoplastic, a new feature for the Scottish jersey.

The inner backneck is customised with a label featuring the national team logo, the motto As One, expressing the spirit of unity that connects the team, supporters and community, together with the Macron logo and the wording Designed in Bologna, certifying that every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus.

The kit is completed by navy blue socks featuring two stripes: a wider light blue stripe and a thinner stripe in the same subtle yellow used on the jersey.

As with all kits produced by Macron for its partner federations and clubs, the new Scottish Rugby Union kit is made using Eco Fabric, materials manufactured from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. The primary fabric used is Eco Armevo, developed to provide outstanding durability and maximum performance, even during the most intense phases of play. Inserts in Eco Boditex and Eco Strong Mesh also ensure lightness, comfort and excellent breathability, helping to enhance both fit and functionality.

Alongside the new 2026/27 Home Kit, Macron and Scottish Rugby Union are also unveiling the new Training and Travel collection, designed to accompany players, staff and supporters throughout every stage of the season, as well as a complete range of coordinated accessories that further enrich the offering dedicated to the Scottish federation.

The new Home Jersey, together with the full range of apparel, training wear, travel wear and accessories produced by Macron for Scottish Rugby Union, will be available to supporters and rugby fans in the dedicated section at macron.com.
