On the occasion of Octobre Rose, FC Nantes and Macron, the club’s technical partner since 2020, present a new special shirt dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. For the first time in its history, the French club wears pink to raise visibility for a cause that concerns the entire community and to use football as a means of participation and awareness.
The shirt features a pastel pink base, combined with burgundy details on the collar and sleeve cuffs. The pink ribbon, the international symbol of the fight against breast cancer, becomes the central element of the design. The motif is reinterpreted across the surface of the shirt through a deconstructed graphic made up of different shades of pink, creating a dynamic and continuous effect. The symbol takes on further meaning on the outer back collar, where eight embroidered pink ribbons replace the eight stars that traditionally represent the club’s eight French league titles.
The pink ribbon also appears on the front of the shirt, positioned between the embroidered FC Nantes crest on the heart side and the Macron Hero on the right, becoming an integral part of the kit’s graphic identity.
The kit is completed by burgundy shorts and pink socks, featuring a wide burgundy band at the top that echoes the shirt’s colour palette and completes the overall look.
The project is built around a concrete commitment to supporting the local community. 50% of the proceeds from shirt sales will be donated to the local associations Madame S and Ma Parenthèse, which are committed to the fight against breast cancer and to supporting those affected, as well as to the Fonds de dotation du FC Nantes, through the Football Cœur de Nantes programme, supporting the region’s healthcare sector.
The new Octobre Rose shirt will be worn by both the FC Nantes men’s and women’s first teams at the La Beaujoire stadium. The Nantesiennes will take to the pitch in the new kit on 3 October against Montpellier, while the men’s team will wear it on 10 October against Reims and on 17 October against Dunkerque.
