The Albanian Football Federation e Macron presented the new kits that the Shqiponjat they will wear as they take on their upcoming international fixtures. The Albanian national team are coming off the back of a European Championship in which they proved themselves to be a formidable side, capable of causing problems for higher-ranked opponents such as Italy, Croatia (held to a 2–2 draw) and Spain, the continental champions, against whom Sylvinho’s men fought until the very end, losing only by the narrowest of margins. The experience gained at Euro 2024 represents a significant asset for the Albanian national team, which is aware that it is a side capable of achieving major successes.

The first step in the upcoming competitive season is to unveil the new game kits which the national teams bearing the double-headed eagle will wear in their upcoming fixtures. The shirts embody the identity of this team and its strong connection to the tradition and culture of this Balkan country. The colours, symbols and artistic references make the kits – produced by Macron, the FSHF’s technical partner since 2016 – truly unique.

The new home shirt retains the traditional colour red (the colour of the Albanian flag) with a crew neck and black sleeve hems. The distinctive graphic feature of the shirt is the embossed pattern, featuring a design typical of Albanian culture – often used in traditional clothing, carpets and ornaments in general – alternating with the double-headed eagle motif. The back of the neck is personalised with a red-background label featuring a detail of the design on the shirt, the FSHF logo, the words ‘FEDERATA SHQIPTARE E FUTBOLLIT’, the Macron logo and the words ‘’Designed in Bologna’ which certifies that each garment is designed, planned and developed in Macron Campus. On the chest, in black silicone print, the Macron the Hero, and on the left, the Albanian Football Association’s crest. At the bottom of the shirt there is an inner band bearing the inscription, repeated and separated by the image of the eagle: “Ti Shqipëri, më jep nder” (Albania, you honour me), part of Albania’s national motto, taken from a poem by the famous poet Naim Frashëri. On the back of the collar, the word ‘SHQIPËRI’ (Albania) is printed in black; this is also reproduced in a tone-on-tone, embossed design on the base of the shirt. The shorts are black, featuring the Macron Hero logo on the side panels. The socks are also black, with two red horizontal bands at the top, matching the colour of the Macron Hero logo above the ankle and the ‘Shqipëri’ lettering on the calf.

The version Away è white Featuring a crew neck and black sleeve hems with red detailing. The graphic design is the same as on the home shirt, again embossed and in a tone-on-tone finish. The back of the neck, the customised tape at the bottom of the shirt, the detailing at the back of the neck and the lettering at the bottom of the back of the shirt are identical to the home version. The shorts are white with black drawstrings and the Macron Hero logo on the side panels. The white socks have a black top edge with a red stripe and feature the Macron Hero logo and the word ‘Shqipëri’ in black above the ankle and on the calf respectively.

Finally, the new Third è all black, again with a crew neck and red detailing, which also features on the sleeve cuffs. As with the home and away kits, the shirt features an embossed pattern depicting a design typical of Albanian culture. The Macron Hero logo on the chest is in red, as is the FSHF crest on the left. The kit is completed by black shorts with the Macron Hero in red on the side and black socks, the latter featuring a double horizontal red stripe at the top. The Macron Hero above the ankle and the word ‘Shqipëri’ on the calf are also red.

Like all the kits produced by Macron for its clubs and federations, those for the Albanian national team were also manufactured in Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric made from recycled post-consumer plastic. Specifically, the fabric used is Eco-Light Siren and the presence of the rear panel in Eco Micromesh and inserts made of Eco Mesh They ensure the shirt is lightweight and breathable.
