There are bonds that withstand time and become part of a city’s identity. The partnership between Macron and Bologna FC 1909 is one of them: 25 years of shared history that, from the very first season together in 2001/02, now look ahead to 2026/27 with the unveiling of the new Home Kit created by the Bologna-based sportswear brand for the Rossoblù.
The new Bologna FC 1909 Home Kit for the 2026/27 season celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Dall’Ara stadium through the use of the iconic Torre di Maratona. Although it was not part of the stadium at the time of its inauguration, over the years it has become its most recognisable symbol. This architectural element, so deeply connected to the Rossoblù identity, has now been reinterpreted graphically in a contemporary way on the new jersey.
From a stylistic perspective, the defining feature of the kit is its symmetrical design with five vertical stripes, centred around a blue middle stripe, a configuration the Club has adopted several times throughout its history and, most notably, 100 years ago when Bologna FC 1909 played its first season at the Stadio Littoriale. The stripes are separated by the vertically repeated silhouette of the Torre di Maratona.
The iconic tower also appears on the raglan sleeves through an embossed pattern in which the architectural symbol alternates with the Club emblem and graphic details inspired by it. The knitted sleeve cuffs are enhanced by a tone-on-tone motif recalling the porticoes of Bologna, particularly the arches lining the stadium along Via De Coubertin. On the outer back neck, the Torre di Maratona appears once again, rendered in a vivid red with strong visual impact.
The decision to incorporate brighter shades of red and blue, capable of bringing the jersey to life, can also be seen in the trim framing the sleeves, the detailing on the lower collar and knitted cuffs, the layout of letters and numbers, and the vertical repetition of the Torre di Maratona separating the red and blue stripes of the shirt.
Inside the collar, a customised Rossoblù-striped label reproduces the kit’s graphic design. In white appears the Club’s identifying motto, “WEAREONE”, alongside the Macron Hero and the wording “Designed in Bologna”, certifying that every cloth is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus, headquarters of the sportswear brand in Valsamoggia. On the chest, the silicone-printed Macron Hero appears on the right, while the Bologna FC 1909 crest is positioned on the left.
The Home game set is completed by white shorts featuring a blue drawstring with red aglets. The blue socks feature a horizontal red band on the upper edge, with the word BOLOGNA in red on the front and in white the Macron Hero.
The fabric used for the Bologna FC 1909 2026/27 Home jersey is Eco Softlock, an Eco Fabric specifically engineered for match kits: lightweight, soft to the touch and highly durable.
