The identifying colours of the Parramatta Eels, an Australian rugby club competing in the NRL Telstra Premiership, whose shirts feature the Macron the Hero since 2020, have characterised the new game kits that Macron has produced for the eels in Parramatta, a suburb situated about 20 km from Sydney city centre. As well as reflecting the club’s identity, the kits also convey a strong message of sustainability because, as with all the garments produced by the Italian brand for its clubs and federations, they are made from Eco Fabric, 100% polyester fabric % made from post-consumer recycled plastic.

The new Home It is a crew-neck top with a trim of dark blue and yellow details, with the colour scheme repeated on the sleeve cuffs. The shirt features a two-tone blue design, with the darker section across the chest: beneath this are four yellow bands, created using sublimation printing, consisting of fine, elegant diagonal stripes. The Macron the Hero It is positioned, in yellow, on either side of the collar at the shoulders, whilst the NRL Telstra Premiership logo is printed on the right-hand side of the chest and the logo of the Parramatta Eels. On the outside of the back of the collar, in yellow, is the date 1947, which refers to the year the club was founded. The home kit is completed by blue shorts with side stripes in a lighter shade of blue, featuring the four yellow stripes that match those on the shirt. The dark blue socks feature four horizontal yellow stripes down the centre and, on the calf, the Macron Hero logo in yellow, with the date 1947 below it.

The version Away is, on the other hand, characterised by two shades of golden yellow which blend together on the front and back, leaving space halfway down the jersey for four horizontal bands in a slightly lighter shade of blue. As with the Home version, the collar and sleeve cuffs are blue. Here too, the Macron Hero logo appears on either side of the crew neck, whilst the chest features the logos of the top-flight Australian rugby league championship and the club, whose nickname, eels, takes its name from the Aboriginal name for Parramatta, “Barramattagal”, which means ‘place where eels dwell’. The year of foundation is printed in blue on the back of the neck. The shorts are yellow with white drawstrings and blue stripes down the sides.

The new Parramatta Eels shirts have a Body Fit, the main fabric used is Eco-Armevo and the presence of ‘i’ inserts in Eco-Boditex and Eco-Strong Mesh They ensure high performance and durability, combined with lightness and excellent breathability. The new game sets, as well as the exclusive clothing range that Macron produces for the Parramatta Eels, are available in the shop section of the the Australian team’s official website and in the section dedicated to the Australian club on the website macron.com.
