The Wrexham AFC completes the presentation of its game set, created by Macron for the coming competitive season. The latest match kit to be unveiled is the new away kit which the Welsh club will wear in EFL League One matches. As with the Welsh club’s other kits, the dragon is the central theme of the design, in this case set against a black background.
The new Away shirt it is therefore all black, featuring a knitted polo collar and sleeve cuffs embellished with a fine white stripe. Here too, the jersey features an all-over tone-on-tone pattern in sublimation print, with a repeated design of the scales from the dragon’s cloak – the team’s symbol. The back of the neck is personalised with a red label featuring, in the centre, a diagonal white-green-gold stripe, the club crest, the Macron logo and the inscription ‘Designed in Bologna’, to certify and highlight how each garment is designed, engineered and developed in-house Macron Campus.
On the chest, printed in white silicone, the Macron Hero stands out on the right. On the left, meanwhile, is the Wrexham AFC crest, printed in white silicone on a black fabric background. On the back of the collar, in white, is an image of the wheel situated above the mine – now a memorial to the 266 men who lost their lives in the explosion and underground fire at the Gresford coal mine, near Wrexham. The match kit is completed by black shorts and socks with a thin white stripe along the top edge.
The Away kit, as well as the Home and Third kits, are made from Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester fabric made from recycled post-consumer plastic, which Macron uses for all its partner clubs. The main fabric is Eco Softlock. The presence of the rear panel in Eco Micromesh and the inserts in Eco Mesh They ensure the garment is lightweight and offers excellent breathability.
