Just a few weeks after announcing their new partnership, Macron and Aberdeen FC are unveiling the new 2026/27 Home Kit, which will be worn throughout the upcoming Scottish Premiership season. A shirt that weaves together tradition, local identity and innovation, transforming one of the city’s historic symbols into a distinctive design feature.

Aberdeen FC’s new 2026/27 Home Shirt retains the traditional red that has always defined the club, enhanced by an all-over sublimated graphic inspired by leopard fur. This references the two great felines that have featured in the city’s heraldry for centuries and are depicted in the Aberdeen city coat of arms supporting the Bon Accord shield, a historic local symbol. The graphic is set against a base featuring subtle tone-on-tone vertical stripes that add further depth and dynamism to the shirt’s design.

The kit features a V-neck collar with white detailing, echoed on the sleeve cuffs. On the chest, the white Macron Hero appears on the right, while on the left sits a simplified version of the Aberdeen FC crest, focused on the iconic stylised football goal with a ball at its centre, an element that recalls the letter “A”, the club’s symbol.

At the bottom front of the shirt, a customised internal tape bears the phrase “HAPPY TO MEET, SORRY TO PART, HAPPY TO MEET AGAIN – BON ACCORD”, the historic motto of the city of Aberdeen, perfectly reflecting the sense of belonging and the strong bond between the club, the community and the local area.

The inner backneck label is customised with the shirt graphic, the Aberdeen FC logo, the Macron logo and the wording “Designed in Bologna”, highlighting how every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. On the outer back collar, two white stars stand out, celebrating the European successes achieved by the club in the 1980s: the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup and the UEFA Super Cup, won under the leadership of Sir Alex Ferguson, the architect of one of the most glorious eras in the club’s history.

The kit is completed by red shorts with white drawstrings and dark red side detailing, paired with red socks featuring a dark red horizontal band and a thin white stripe just below the upper cuff.

The new Home Kit is made from Eco 3D Knit Matrix, an innovative technical jacquard fabric developed by Macron. Like all Eco Fabrics produced by the Italian brand, it is made from 100% polyester obtained from recycled post-consumer plastic. The fabric’s distinctive three-dimensional construction provides durability, natural mechanical stretch and breathability, ensuring high standards of performance and comfort. At the same time, the jacquard weave creates a refined, contemporary texture that enhances the garment’s aesthetics, reaffirming Macron’s commitment to interpreting sportswear as the meeting point of technical innovation, sustainability and style.
