This is the philosophy underpinning ‘Macron 4 the Planet’ and which translates, day in, day out, into informed choices and concrete actions to protect the environment. A project in which sustainability is viewed as a multi-dimensional system: economic, social and environmental.

Macron 4 the Planet stands for commitment, recovery, recycling, respect for the local environment and the optimisation of all business processes, so as to make our impact on the planet as sustainable as possible. In this regard, an ever-increasing proportion of Macron’s products is made from eco-sustainable fabrics (Eco Fabrics), made entirely from 100% recycled PET. Adherence to “Better Cotton Initiative” ensures the efficient and sustainable use of land and water resources in cotton cultivation, as well as compliance with high product quality standards and the promotion of decent work.

The recovery, reuse and regeneration of waste materials is a way of reducing waste generation and, consequently, the company’s environmental impact. Through the project Renycle For example, textile waste is converted into polymers and subsequently into yarns for the production of technical socks made from regenerated polyamide. Optimised management of packaging materials is also essential from a corporate sustainability perspective: the use of paper and cardboard is kept to a minimum, whilst the polybags are made from recycled 100% plastic and can be reused thanks to their airtight seal.
