Macron today unveils its new Sound Logo, a sonic signature developed to further strengthen the brand’s identity through a distinctive and instantly recognisable language, fully aligned with its international growth and evolution.

In an environment where brands engage with audiences through an increasingly diverse range of channels and formats, sound has become an essential element in building recognition and consistency. It is within this context that Macron’s new Sound Logo has been created: a project designed to expand the brand’s expressive universe and translate its values into a sonic dimension capable of accompanying its presence across digital media, editorial content, events and audiovisual platforms.

“The strongest brands are those that can express themselves consistently across every touchpoint with their audiences. The Sound Logo represents a natural evolution of our identity and translates into sound some of the elements that define Macron today: energy, team spirit and a premium positioning built on quality, innovation and growing international recognition,” commented Angelo Marino, Chief Brand & Communications Officer at Macron.

Created in collaboration with Chora Media, Italy’s leading podcast company, the Sound Logo was conceived as a natural extension of the Macron Hero, translating some of the brand’s core identity pillars into a sonic language. The three notes that characterise the signature echo the three points of the Hero symbol, immediately conveying a sense of energy, dynamism and movement. The name Macron, derived from the Greek prefix “makro”, meaning “great”, is articulated collectively by both a male and a female voice, a creative choice that reflects the values of collaboration and team spirit that have always been central to the brand’s culture.

The introduction of the Sound Logo marks a new milestone in Macron’s brand evolution journey. Over the years, the company has progressively refined its identity assets while preserving their recognisability. A significant step came in 2018 with the restyling of the Macron Hero, which enabled the symbol to be used increasingly independently from the wordmark. More recently, through the “Quiet Change. Strong Identity.” project, the wordmark itself evolved towards an even more contemporary and premium positioning.

This evolution has been supported by the strengthening of Macron’s in-house capabilities dedicated to brand identity and content development, including the creation of the Macron Media House and the launch of proprietary content formats such as the Campus Talks podcast.

With the introduction of its Sound Logo, Macron adds a new dimension to its identity, further enhancing the brand’s ability to create memorable connections through video, photography, imagery, words and, from today, sound.
