Enrico Mattioli: grow, dream, draw

Enrico Mattioli recounts his journey at Macron as Senior Apparel Designer, through creativity, a passion for sports and professional growth. A role that combines dreams and work, in a company where innovation and ambition know no limits.

For Enrico Mattioli, passion has become work. After six years at Macron, he is now a Senior Apparel Designer in the style department. His role has evolved constantly, until it involved him in the complete stages of ideation and design of the collections related to sponsorships. Pro Club e Motorsport, also overseeing the prototyping phase.

“Every year I have seen the responsibilities and impact of the projects I have overseen increase. This growth has never stopped.”

When creativity meets passions

Grown up in Motor Valley And with a sporting background in the youth teams of Virtus Bologna, Enrico has had the opportunity to work in the past with both Virtus and Lamborghini. Designing the first team’s jerseys and curating the second’s stylistic collections was, for him, like seeing a dream come true.

“It was incredible to be able to combine my personal passion with my work.”

A routine that inspires

His daily routine at the company is anything but routine. He says there isn’t a day when going to work has been a burden.

“For me it’s pure pleasure. I say it with pride, because it’s not something trivial.”

An enthusiasm that was also noticed and appreciated within the creative team. His desire? To become a point of reference, especially for special projects, such as those related to motorsport.

No limit to growth

For Enrico, Macron is a company where it is possible to dream big. An environment that encourages striving for even higher goals, and where it is essential to keep one’s own creativity alive.

“It is necessary to study the past of the club we are working on to find inspiration and give meaning to what we create.”

This is demonstrated by the work done with Stoke City, where he proposed innovative stylistic solutions, going beyond the club's conservative habits. This was a risk that paid off, both in terms of recognition among the fans and in terms of sales.

Growing together with the company

Having joined when Macron was still in its historic headquarters, Enrico has experienced first-hand the evolution of the company. A growth that he clearly perceives and that he loves to share with his new colleagues.

“Having lived through the transformation from the very beginning makes you appreciate every step more. You feel part of a larger project.”

He says that he has always felt part of a family, where his potential was seen and nurtured. Even the mistakes were fundamental in defining the person he is today. And nothing would change about that journey.

Wisdom and ambition

When asked which word best represents Macron, Enrico answers without hesitation: wisdom. “A balanced, steady growth built brick by brick. There were no sudden spikes that caused you to lose control. It’s solid growth.”

But if the company follows a sensible pace, he dreams even bigger:

“I am a dreamer. I dream. I reach for the moon and, if it’s right, I sit among the stars.”
