Growing in sport by choosing values: the journey of Arianna Monari at Macron

From a passion for sports to the responsibility of a new role: Arianna tells us about her decision to grow up in Macron, amidst new challenges, team spirit and a sense of belonging.

Arianna Monari joined Macron on October 16, 2023, after completing a training in Motor Sciences and gaining experience as a manager in a gym. Sport has always been her natural environment, but she felt the need for a new challenge: to grow, to test herself in a larger context, without giving up what truly excites her.

“I felt like I had arrived in the context in which I was. I was looking for a path of personal and professional growth. I wanted to get involved in something more structured, while remaining in the sports world, which is fundamental for me.’

A conscious choice

Macron was not an accidental candidate.

“I chose Macron consciously, because I recognized myself in his values: respect for the environment, attention to quality and care for the technical product for the athlete.”

During the discussions, a particular phrase struck her: in Macron, work is recognized without the need to ask for it. This concept has remained imprinted on her and, over time, has found confirmation in everyday life.

Responsibility, listening and team spirit

Today, Arianna holds the position of Retail Manager at Macron Sports Hub in Bologna, responsible for direct sales to the public and not just to sports clubs. A role of responsibility, approached from the very beginning with confidence and constant support.

“Difficulties are not lacking, as in any job. But what I notice is the focus on listening. Even in the most challenging moments, I have always felt welcomed. There is a true team spirit in finding solutions.”

It is an approach that reminds them of the sports mentality: problems exist, but they are tackled together.

Events, training and a sense of belonging

One of the aspects that Arianna appreciates most is the active involvement in company initiatives: sporting events, special projects, training courses, English courses.

“It’s not a given to feel part of something. Here there is a real possibility to grow, to learn, to participate.”

Even the moments shared outside of work strengthened the sense of belonging: from spontaneous groups of beach volleyball and basketball formed among colleagues, to the collaboration between the headquarters and Macron Sports Hub.

One particular episode remains in her heart: during the Christmas period, in fact, some people from the headquarters supported the Macron Sports Hub store in Bologna as sales staff, demonstrating team spirit and collaboration.

“It was beautiful. They dedicated extra time to help us, with enthusiasm. It’s not something that comes naturally. It makes you feel more than just colleagues, almost like a family.”

More than one job

For Arianna, working at Macron means living daily the sporting energy that has always accompanied her: real relationships, people beyond emails, concrete collaboration.

“Being a sports person, I find here that environment that makes everything more welcoming. It’s not just an opportunity for work; it’s an opportunity to grow, to meet people, to build relationships.”

A choice made with conviction, which continues every day with enthusiasm.
