Costanza Buzio: where fashion and sport meet

Between product development and the identity of the clubs, each garment tells a story of sport and passion.
21 July, 2025

Combining passion and work is not always easy. But for Costanza Buzio, today an Apparel Developer at Macron, it has become a concrete reality. Since January 2022, she has been an integral part of a creative process that transforms sketches and ideas into real sports apparel, worn by athletes and teams around the world.

“My job is to give shape to an idea. A drawing can be beautiful, but if it isn’t feasible, it’s not enough. The challenge lies in combining aesthetics, design, performance, and production feasibility.”

Costanza follows all the stages of the development of the playing uniforms and the Training and Travel collections, and she does so with a careful eye both to the identity of the clubs and to the technical requirements. Every day is different from the previous one, and the demands become increasingly complex and ambitious. But that is precisely what motivates her.

From high fashion to the sports team

Before Macron, Costanza worked in the world of high fashion. An experience that left her with a solid aesthetic background, which she now applies to a sector undergoing rapid change.

“The approach to Macron has really helped me grow a lot, especially in terms of technical skills. I’ve learned to manage communication and internal relationships as well. It’s a dynamic and very cohesive environment, where teamwork really makes the difference.”

A concrete example is the collaboration with Slam Jam for the SPAL jersey, a project in which he was able to put his fashion background to use. “It was like going back a little bit to my world, but with a sporting goal. I was talking to a team, but also to those who truly understand the language of fashion. It was beautiful.’

Membership and growth

Although she joined Macron just over two years ago, Costanza feels a strong sense of belonging. The company is growing every day and she wants to grow with it.

“I feel part of something great, and I want to continue contributing. Macron has a solid, ambitious project, and he never stops. I want to be up to the challenge of this energy.”

The rugby dream that comes true

A great fan of rugby – especially the Italian National Team – Costanza is today responsible for the industrialization of the jerseys of Italrugby, a task that at the time of her appointment seemed only a dream.

“Now I follow Italy and Wales. When I see them play in the shirts we have developed, it’s as if I’m there too. Those shirts aren’t just mine, of course, but a bit of me is there.”

Macron in a word: passion

Throughout his narrative, one word keeps recurring: passion. That of sports, of course, but also that of what he puts into his work every day, between creativity, technique, and relationships.

“Macron combined my two passions, and that’s not something that comes easily. It’s what drives me to give more and more.”
