Macron has announced a multi-year partnership with Fairleigh Dickinson University Athletics (FDU), making the Italian brand the official technical partner for all 23 varsity sports programmes at the New Jersey-based university, effective July 2026.

The agreement marks a strategic milestone in Macron’s international growth and the brand’s official entry into US collegiate sports. Fairleigh Dickinson University becomes the first university athletics department in the United States to wear the Macron Hero across all sports uniforms.

The partnership is built on a shared alignment of values and an international vision of sport. With campuses abroad and a long-standing tradition of welcoming student-athletes from around the world, FDU is an ideal partner for strengthening Macron’s presence in the North American market — a region playing an increasingly central role in the brand’s growth strategy, as demonstrated by the opening of its Distribution Centre in Connecticut in 2024.

“Entering the US collegiate sports landscape through this partnership with Fairleigh Dickinson University represents a key milestone for Macron,” said Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron. “The United States is a high-potential market for our brand, where our business model, focused on teamwear across every level of the sporting pyramid, finds a natural fit and significant opportunities. This first collaboration reflects our ambition to build a strong and long-lasting presence in North America, and we are proud to begin this journey alongside a prestigious partner such as FDU, supporting student-athletes in achieving excellence through apparel that combines performance with Italian design.”

“We could not be more thrilled to launch this partnership with Macron,” said FDU Senior Associate Vice President/Director of Athletics Bradford Hurlbut. “As we moved deeper into this process, it became more and more evident that Macron was the perfect fit for FDU. Their attention to detail, storytelling ability and sleek designs will allow our student-athletes to perform at their best, while representing FDU in a unique and exciting way.”

Through this partnership, Macron and FDU are opening a new chapter in US collegiate sports, bringing together innovation, performance and international identity. The brand’s cutting-edge technologies, innovative design and unmistakable Italian savoir-faire will provide Knights athletes with a distinctive new look engineered to maximise performance and further strengthen the identity of the athletics programme.

“Today is proud and exciting day for our department. Aligning with Macron is about more than apparel, it’s about identity on a global stage,” said Assistant Vice President/Deputy Athletic Director Jason Young, “I want to thank Macron US General Manager Gianluigi Colisi Rossi and Macron US Director of Sales Alan Elgart for their belief in FDU as they enter the collegiate space. Macron brings the global perspective, creativity, and quality needed to help tell our story in a bold and authentic way, and I can’t wait for our community to see what’s to come.”

Further details regarding FDU’s new Macron kits will be released in the coming months, with the official launch scheduled for July 2026.
