To mark the 80th anniversary of U.C. Sampdoria, Macron and the Blucerchiati are celebrating this historic milestone together with the launch of two special kits that pay tribute to the club’s origins and honour Ginnastica Comunale Sampierdarenese and Ginnastica Andrea Doria, reinterpreting the historic shirts of the two founding clubs through a contemporary lens. A project that combines heritage, innovation and technical excellence through the design and attention to detail that define Macron’s creative approach.
The first of the two special Game Sets that the Blucerchiati will wear during the 2026/27 season is inspired by the historic kit of Sampierdarenese, the club founded in 1891 in Genoa’s historic Sampierdarena district and one of the two teams that merged in 1946 to create today’s U.C. Sampdoria. The shirt features a cream-white base with two broad horizontal bands across the chest, one red and one black, created using sublimation printing. The V-neck collar and sleeve cuffs are finished in black knit, while the entire garment is enriched by an embossed graphic featuring the club’s 80th anniversary logo: the number 80, with the Cross of St George shield replacing the zero, enclosed within a laurel wreath topped by the silhouette of Baciccia.
On the chest, the Macron Hero and the Sampdoria crest are applied using thermoplastic printing. The commemorative logo is also featured on the outer back neck, while inside the hem a Blucerchiati-coloured tape displays, in gold, the years 1946 and 2026 alongside the trophies won by the club.
This Kit is completed by two different combinations. The first includes black shorts with matching drawstrings and socks featuring red and black details; the second consists of cream-coloured shorts with black drawstrings and matching cream socks, finished with red and black bands around the top.
The second Game Set in this special collection completes the tribute to the Blucerchiati’s origins by celebrating Ginnastica Andrea Doria. The shirt revisits the club’s iconic quartered white and blue design through a contemporary interpretation: the right-hand side is navy blue and the left-hand side white, with the colours reversed on the sleeves. The polo collar and sleeve cuffs are finished in white knit, while a patch featuring the Cross of St George, the symbol of the city of Genoa, is applied to the centre of the shirt.
This Kit also features the embossed 80th anniversary graphic together with the same commemorative details as the Away Kit. The look is completed by navy blue shorts and socks, the latter finished with a white top band.
Both kits are made from Eco Poly Piquet, a fabric belonging to the Eco Fabrics range and composed of 100% polyester produced from recycled post-consumer plastic. The Eco Micromesh back panel and Eco Mesh inserts ensure lightweight comfort and outstanding breathability.
