The Swiss Football League (SFL) and Macron unveil “VERTEX”, the new official match ball that will accompany the 2026/27 season of the Brack Super League and the dieci Challenge League. A project developed to express technical innovation, performance and aesthetic research through a contemporary design inspired by the landscape and identity of Switzerland.
Developed at the Macron Campus in Bologna in collaboration with the SFL, the new “VERTEX” ball is FIFA Quality Pro certified and engineered to guarantee high-performance standards in every game situation. Its 16-panel construction and textured PU surface ensure precise flight trajectories, optimal control and an even more natural touch, providing players with a highly performing playing experience.
The ball is made with a next-generation Japanese Microfiber PU outer covering, developed to offer the ideal balance of touch sensitivity, control and playing comfort. The three-dimensional micro-textured surface enhances grip and contributes to greater aerodynamic stability, promoting more accurate and consistent trajectories. The material represents a further evolution compared to previous generations, designed to improve wear resistance and reduce water absorption, while maintaining consistently high playing performance even in the most variable conditions.
Manufactured using thermobonded technology, the ball eliminates traditional stitching, improving waterproofness, durability and stability, even in the most challenging weather conditions. Every detail has been developed to meet the demands of modern professional football, combining technical quality, reliability and meticulous attention to detail.
A distinctive feature of the new “VERTEX” ball is its graphic design, characterised by a dynamic composition inspired by the profiles of the Swiss mountains. The geometric lines and embossed details across the surface reinterpret one of the most iconic elements of the Swiss landscape in a contemporary way, creating a strong visual connection with the territory and the identity of the Swiss Football League.
The colour palette combines different shades of blue with fuchsia accents and contrasting details, creating a modern, clean and highly recognisable aesthetic designed to enhance the ball both on the pitch and in the televised dimension of the game. In addition, the use of water-based inks represents a further step forward in technical printing, combining innovation with an increasing focus on environmental sustainability.
Alongside the official match ball, the “VERTEX” Winter version will also be available, developed to guarantee maximum visibility during matches played in more demanding weather conditions, while maintaining the same technical and performance characteristics as the official model.
The new official “VERTEX” ball will accompany Swiss clubs from the start of their pre-season training camps, becoming an integral part of the daily work of players and coaching staff in preparation for the 2026/27 season.
