On one of the standout days of Wrexham AFC’s USA Summer Tour, which began this morning with a high-profile moment at the Nasdaq Bell Ringing Ceremony, the Welsh club and Macron – its Technical Partner since 2016 and Official Partner of the Summer Tour – unveiled the new Home Kit for the 2026/27 season.
Presented in New York City and set to make its on-pitch debut in the friendly against Liverpool at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, 29 July, the new jersey is a major tribute to the Racecourse Ground’s Kop end and to the profound connection between Wrexham AFC, its historic home, and the community that has supported the club across generations.
Created in Wrexham’s traditional red, the kit translates the club’s heritage, symbols and collective memories into a distinctive contemporary design developed by Macron’s Design Team. This approach is the essence of Macron’s Fashion in Sport philosophy: a creative process in which performance, design and cultural identity come together to transform the match kit into a true expression of style.
The new Wrexham AFC Home jersey features an elegant design, with a white V-neck collar finished with a fine red line, a colour combination also echoed on the sleeve cuffs. The shoulders and upper sections of the sleeves are presented in a slightly darker shade of red, while a vertical white band runs from each shoulder to the end of the sleeve, giving the jersey a refined and distinctive look.
At the heart of the design is a tonal embossed pattern inspired by the iconic safety barriers that once stood on the old Kop end. These barriers hold a special place in the memories of Wrexham supporters: following their removal from the stadium, many were repurposed as distinctive pieces of furniture in fans’ homes and gardens, becoming enduring symbols of the exceptionally close relationship between the club, the Racecourse Ground, and its community.
This shared history is further celebrated on the lower-left section of the jersey through a silicone-based transfer inspired by the iconic street sign associated with the stadium – Racecourse Ground LL11 Wrexham. A further tribute to the club’s historic home appears on the outer back of the collar. Six flagpoles are printed in white, with each flag carrying a letter that together spells CAE RAS, the Welsh name of the Racecourse Ground. The graphic is completed by the year 1864, marking the foundation of Wrexham AFC, which has played its home matches at the ground since the club’s earliest days.
Inside the lower-left hem, a tonal print depicts the Gresford Colliery Memorial alongside the number 266, commemorating the miners who lost their lives in the Gresford Colliery disaster on 22 September 1934. An internal silicone tape running along the rear hem carries the message: OUR GROUND, OUR SPIRIT – EIN TIR, EIN HYSBRYD
On the chest, the Macron Hero is embroidered in white on the right, while the embroidered Wrexham AFC crest appears on the left. The inside backneck is personalised with a red label featuring the words WREXHAM IS THE NAME, together with the Macron logo and the statement Designed in Bologna, certifying that the garment was conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus in Bologna, Italy.

“With carefully curated details like the embossed pattern of the old Kop safety railings in the fabric, to the Racecourse Ground street sign patch, and the words ‘our ground, our spirit – ein tir, ein hysbrid ’ on the rear hem, the home kit is a celebration of the old Kop and its place in our Club history. As the new Kop takes shape rising up in its place, the home kit is a tribute to the fans that stood there in years gone by, supporting the Club through thick and thin, to create history together. “
Wrexham AFC’s 2026/27 Home Kit is completed by white shorts featuring an adjustable drawstring waist and red side bands. The white socks feature a red upper cuff finished with a fine horizontal white stripe, completing the club’s traditional colour palette through a clean and contemporary design.
As with all technical garments produced by Macron for its partner clubs, the Wrexham AFC Home Kit is made using Eco Fabric, a material composed entirely of polyester derived from recycled plastic. The main fabric used for the jersey is Eco Softlock, a lightweight and highly tear-resistant material developed specifically for professional match kits. It delivers the comfort, durability and technical performance required by athletes at the highest level.
