Manchester’s industrial heritage, its character and its longstanding connection with steel become distinctive elements of the new Sale Sharks 2026/27 Away Kit, designed by Macron, international leading brand in teamwear and the club’s Technical Partner. The kit brings a defining feature of the territory represented by the Sharks onto the pitch, interpreting it through a contemporary design and a graphic inspired by the structures of the steelworks that have shaped the history of Greater Manchester.
The new 2026/27 Away shirt combines a white central body with a Columbia blue polo collar and sleeve cuffs. The same shade of blue features on the embroidered Macron Hero on the chest, alongside the Sharks crest. The shoulders, sleeves, side panels and rear lower section of the shirt are finished in a very light blue shade, featuring a tonal sublimated graphic. The pattern reinterprets, through a clean and essential graphic language, the shapes and metal structures of industrial buildings, evoking the manufacturing and steelmaking heritage that has helped define the identity of the Manchester area since the Industrial Revolution.
On the outer back neck, Columbia blue provides the backdrop for the shark graphic, a distinctive element of the Sale Sharks crest and a symbol of the values that define the club: strength, balance, dynamism and determination. This detail completes the graphic narrative of the kit while further reinforcing its connection with the club’s identity.
The kit is completed by Columbia blue shorts, featuring white drawstrings and side panels carrying the same graphic inspired by the steel structures featured on the shirt, creating visual continuity across the kit. The white socks feature a Columbia blue upper cuff, completing a coordinated look that brings together the colours and distinctive elements of the kit.
As with all collections developed by Macron for its partner clubs, the new Sale Sharks Away Kit is made using Eco Fabric, a fabric produced from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic. The main fabric used for the shirt is Eco Armevo, combined with Eco Boditex and Eco Strong Mesh inserts. This combination of materials is designed to provide lightness, breathability and durability, meeting the demands of rugby while ensuring freedom of movement during play.
