A dynamic and essential design, built around the strength of graphic symmetry, defines the new LOU Rugby Away Kit 2026/27, created by Macron, the French club’s technical partner. The season’s second kit interprets the club’s identity through an all-over pattern that brings together history and a strong sense of belonging to the local area, as Lyon rugby celebrates 130 years of history.
The new Away Kit 2026/27 jersey takes the Home Kit’s colour palette and reverses it, with red becoming the dominant colour. The polo collar is black with a thin red line, while the same colour combination features on the sleeve cuffs. The defining element is the all-over sublimated graphic, where the numbers 96 and 69 merge into a single geometric pattern, creating a rhythmic and almost hypnotic visual effect. The 96 refers to 1896, the year the club was founded as Racing Club de Lyon and which today makes it one of the most historic rugby clubs in France. The 69, meanwhile, identifies the Rhône département, of which Lyon is the capital.
At the centre of the chest, the Macron Hero is presented in black and positioned above the club crest, creating a clean and instantly recognisable graphic element. As with the Home Kit, the backneck is customised with a black label featuring the LOU Rugby logo, the Macron Hero and the wording Designed in Bologna, highlighting the creative and design process that takes shape within the Macron Campus. On the outside of the back collar, the black Depuis 130 ans. wording, created using sublimated printing, completes the customisation and celebrates the club’s long history.
The away look is completed by red shorts, featuring black details and drawstring, and red socks with two horizontal black bands separated by a thin red line at the top.
The jersey features a Body Fit and is made using fabrics from the Eco Fabrics range, made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. The main fabric is Eco Armevo, which ensures lightness and comfort. Inserts in Eco Boditex and Eco Strong Mesh complete the garment, helping to provide breathability, durability and freedom of movement during sporting activity.
