Fifty years after its introduction, one of the most iconic symbols in Crystal Palace FC’s history returns to centre stage. For the 2026/27 season, Macron and the South London club celebrate the return of the historic sash, the distinctive diagonal stripe that accompanied some of the most significant moments in the Eagles’ journey. Reinterpreted with a contemporary twist under the name “Eagle Sash Kit”, the new shirt combines tradition and innovation, paying tribute to South London’s identity.
The Crystal Palace FC Eagle Sash Kit 2026/27 features one of the most iconic and recognisable designs in the club’s history. The famous diagonal sash was first introduced in 1976, when it accompanied the South London club on its run to the FA Cup semi-finals. Thanks in part to that memorable cup campaign, this graphic element has remained one of the most cherished features of the club’s heritage.
For the 2026/27 season, the historic red and blue sash has been reinterpreted on an elegant white base, creating a shirt with a strong visual impact that blends elegance, tradition and modernity. The diagonal sash runs across the front of the shirt, becoming its defining feature, while the body is enhanced by a sophisticated embossed pattern that adds depth and character to the fabric surface. The sash is created through a sublimated graphic made up of bands of increasing thickness, highlighting its symbolic and identity-driven value while giving the design a modern and dynamic aesthetic.
The crest also pays tribute to Crystal Palace FC’s heritage through a reinterpretation inspired by the historic circular version used by the club between 1973 and 1987. The crew neck and sleeve cuffs feature a clean and refined finish, perfectly integrated into the shirt’s design. The Macron Hero and the Crystal Palace FC crest are displayed on the chest.
The inner backneck is customised with a label featuring the club logo, the motto “SOUTH LONDON AND PROUD”, the Macron logo and the wording “Designed in Bologna”, highlighting how every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. On the outer back collar, the eagle symbol appears in blue, a detail dedicated to Crystal Palace FC’s identity.
The kit is completed by white shorts enhanced with coordinated details that echo the shirt’s design, and white socks featuring references to the club colours, creating a harmonious and instantly recognisable look.
Like all match kits developed by Macron for its partner clubs, the new Crystal Palace FC Eagle Sash Kit is made from Eco Fabric, a material produced from 100% recycled polyester sourced from post-consumer plastic. This choice reflects a shared commitment to increasingly sustainable and responsible production. The main fabric used is Eco Light Sirena which, together with Eco Micromesh inserts, ensures lightness, comfort and maximum breathability.
