From junior graphic designer to coordinating a team
When Nilia Satta joined Macron at just 21 years old, she brought with her a great passion for graphic design, some brief experiences, and the desire to try new things. Today, 13 years later, she is the Custom Designer Coordinator: she leads a team of six people and coordinates projects that combine creativity, production, and interaction with multiple corporate departments.
“I came in as a rookie with no experience. Today I feel like a confident professional, a point of reference not only in my work but also on a human level.”
Change as a lever of growth
Over a decade of experience, Nilia has lived firsthand the profound changes that have taken place within the company. She has changed four managers and worked with more than twenty colleagues, in an environment that has managed to evolve without losing its sense of teamwork.
“Change is not always negative. It tests you, it makes you grow. That’s how trust and awareness are built.”
A work made of interaction and synergy
Nilia's team works closely with other departments: quality control, sales, customers, and production. Each project is the result of an interplay of expertise and collaboration.
“Trust among colleagues is fundamental. Everyone can be a support for the other. Only in this way can the final result be achieved.”
Driving also means listening
In her current role, Nilia has learned that coordinating a team is not just organization, but also empathy. Managing diverse people with unique personalities and skills means knowing how to listen, value, and motivate them.
“Sometimes you also have to be a bit of a psychologist. Knowing who you have around you is the first step to creating a positive work environment.’
From a medium-sized company to a global brand
Nilia has seen Macron grow from a medium-sized company to a global enterprise. This transformation has brought in many young talents and expanded into new sectors: from sports to lifestyle, and even into the world of motorsports.
“It’s up to us, the old guard, to guide the new colleagues and help them find their way. That’s how you build a solid team.”
A dynamic environment, never the same twice
Every day at Macron is different. For Nilia, it is precisely this dynamism that strengthens her strong sense of belonging. In addition to graphic design, she also deals with production-related aspects, maintaining direct contact with foreign suppliers and actively contributing to the creation of the garments.
Sport is also part of his identity:
“I played volleyball and football: I feel at home in my own world. Knowing that people wear what we designed is really motivating.”
Pride and passion in one's work
The recognition from customers, the projects carried out, the results achieved together with the team: all of this makes Nilia proud of its journey. More than just a job, it is a commitment that has left its mark.
“When you receive compliments for the availability and the result of the jersey created, you realize that you have done something beautiful. It is satisfying.”
Macron? A positive hurricane
When asked “If I had to describe Macron in one word?”, Nilia answers without hesitation: hurricane. But in a positive sense.
“Macron is energy that overwhelms, overcomes obstacles and always reaches its goal. Our logo, the Macron Hero, represents jubilation. And we really are like that: we can do it, always.”
