Aberdeen FC and Macron, the Scottish club’s new technical partner and the leading international brand in teamwear, have unveiled the new 2026/27 Away Kit. The shirt draws inspiration from one of the city’s most iconic landmarks: the Sir Duncan Rice Library, the striking home of the University of Aberdeen’s library and a symbol of the city’s architectural innovation.

The new 2026/27 Away shirt, the first to be launched since the beginning of the partnership between Macron and Aberdeen FC, features a white base with black and red detailing on the crew neck collar and sleeve cuffs. The entire shirt is enhanced by an elegant embossed graphic inspired by the distinctive glazed façade of the Sir Duncan Rice Library, renowned for its irregular bands of transparent and opaque glass that create striking effects of light and reflection.

It is precisely this interplay of reflections that inspired the kit’s design. The use of Eco Everton fabric gives the surface a unique visual depth and luminous effect, recalling the aesthetic of match kits from the 1990s. Like all fabrics used by Macron for its partner clubs, Eco Everton is made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester.

On the chest, the Macron Hero appears in red on the right-hand side, while the Aberdeen FC crest is positioned on the left. The backneck is personalised with the club colours, the Aberdeen FC logo, the Macron Hero and the wording “Designed in Bologna”, certifying that every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. On the outer back neck, also in red, appears THE DONS, the club’s historic nickname.

Inside the lower hem of the shirt, a customised tape features Aberdeen’s historic motto: “HAPPY TO MEET, SORRY TO PART, HAPPY TO MEET AGAIN – BON ACCORD”, a symbol of the strong bond between the club and the city it represents.

The away kit is completed by white shorts featuring an embossed graphic coordinated with the shirt and white socks with a black band and a subtle red detail beneath the turnover.

The shirt has a Slim Fit cut. The rear panel in Eco Mesh James fabric and the Eco Softstripe inserts ensure lightness, comfort and maximum breathability, delivering outstanding performance in all playing conditions.
