Macron announced as new technical partner of Standard de Liège

One of the most popular and successful football teams in Belgium is joining the Macron family. Starting from the upcoming season, the Macron Hero will appear on the shirts of Standard de Liège. The Italian brand and the club have entered into a partnership that will provide Les Rouches with match kits, technical apparel, and a merchandise line characterised by the style, design, technical features, and quality that have made the Italian company a leading brand in the teamwear sector.

Standard de Liège is one of the most renowned Belgian clubs, with a rich social and sporting history. Founded in 1898 by students from the College Saint-Gervais, the Walloon club holds the record for the most appearances in the Pro League, the top tier of Belgian football. Its trophy cabinet boasts 10 national titles, 8 Belgian Cups and 4 Belgian Super Cups. On the international stage, Standard Liège also reached the final of the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1982, narrowly losing to Barcelona. That team featured champions such as Eric Gerets and the legendary Michel Preud’homme, considered one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time.
