One month ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, USA Rugby and Macron have unveiled the match kits that the Stars and Stripes women’s national team will wear in England. The USA team will make their debut in the tournament’s opening match against the competition hosts on Friday 22 August at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland.
Macron, technical partner of USA Rugby since last year, has created a Game Set for the US athletes that fully expresses the identity and strong sense of belonging of the team, through colours, symbols, and refined and exclusive graphics. As with all technical garments produced by Macron for its partners, the kits are made from Eco Fabric – a polyester material derived entirely from recycled plastic. The USA Women’s Rugby team has been drawn in Pool A, alongside England, Australia and Samoa. Following the opener against England, the Women Eagles will face Australia (30 August, York Community Stadium) and then Samoa (6 September, also in York). Along with Italy, Scotland, Wales and Canada, USA Rugby is one of five national teams that will take to the field at this Women’s Rugby World Cup wearing the Macron Hero on their chest.
The USA Rugby WRWC 2025 Home kit features a navy blue base with a V-neck collar edged in red and white, with the same colour combination also present on the sleeve cuffs. The sleeves, shoulders and right front panel of the shirt showcase a sublimated design in a brighter navy blue, consisting of stars of various sizes, some of which have a spray-effect finish. On the chest, the official Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 logo appears on the right; centrally embroidered in white is the Macron Hero; and on the left, over the heart, is the embroidered USA Rugby crest. The left sleeve bears a patch with the flag of the United States of America. The inside collar features a customised white and blue label, with a background design echoing the shirt’s graphic, along with the USA Rugby crest, the Macron logo, and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying that every garment is conceived, designed and developed at Macron Campus. The shorts are navy blue with white drawstrings and side panels that mirror the shirt’s graphic. The socks are navy blue with a white upper band featuring two horizontal red and blue stripes.
The Away WRWC kit, also with a V-neck collar, is white with red and navy blue trim on the collar and sleeve edges. It features the same graphic as the Home kit on a white background, with the star pattern in a shinier, silver-like white. The Macron Hero is embroidered in navy blue in the centre of the chest, between the competition logo and the USA Rugby crest. The left sleeve once again displays the flag of the United States of America. The kit is completed by white shorts with navy blue side panels incorporating the shirt’s distinctive graphic. The socks are entirely white with two horizontal red and blue stripes on the upper edge.
