Two European Championships and the start of the race towards the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. It is in view of these important challenges that today Macron and the Italian Basketball Federation presented the new Home and Away Kits that the Azzurri will wear starting this summer. The venue for this presentation was the Macron Campus, the innovative headquarters of the Bologna-based company, international leader in sportswear that has been the technical sponsor of FIP and the Italian National Basketball Teams since 2023.
In addition to the new Home and Away match kits, revisited with respect to last year in view of the women’s and men’s European Championships to highlight even more the colours of the Italian flag, the presentation was also an opportunity to unveil an alternative Game Set in Navy-Gold and White-Gold colours that will be used by the Azzurre and the Azzurri in the friendly matches in preparation for the respective continental events. On the same chromatic theme, Macron and FIP have also launched an important novelty, designed for fans and enthusiasts who live basketball also off the court: an exclusive capsule collection consisting of a high-impact t-shirt in navy blue and a college-style sweatshirt perfect to be worn in free time.
Italbasket’s new Home Kit is predominantly white, with a V-neck tank top and sleeve edges edged in blue and gold. The distinctive element of the new uniforms is represented by the insert on both sides, characterised by a green-white-red tricolour that fades to white in the central part, where there are three small gold-coloured rhombuses. At the centre of the chest in blue is the writing ITALIA, while the FIP logo in blue and the Macron Hero in gold are applied one above the other on the right side.
The inner backneck features a custom label divided into two halves, the left half blue and the right half white. Here again the reference to the three gold rhombuses, which separate the FIP logo, positioned on the right half, from the Macron Hero logo, completed by the writing ‘Designed in Bologna’ which certifies that all the garments are conceived, designed and developed in the Macron Campus in Valsamoggia. The shorts are also white with the upper elastic entirely composed of a tricolour band. On the sides there are the three gold rhombuses on both sides, placed above the blue bands edged in gold that also characterise the rear thigh edge.
The Away Kit takes up the graphic structure and distinctive elements of the Home version in every respect, but is characterised in both the tank top and the shorts by the preponderance of the colour blue, completed by white and gold details and tricolour side inserts.
Like all the garments made by Macron for its partner teams in every sport, all the Italbasket uniforms presented today are made of Eco Fabric, i.e. fabrics obtained 100% from post-consumer plastic recycling. A confirmation of the commitment shared by Macron and the Italian Basketball Federation towards the environment and sustainability.
Both the new kits and all the products of the new collection dedicated to fans and enthusiasts of the Italian national basketball teams are already available for purchase in Macron Stores and online in the special section dedicated to Italbasket on macron.com.
