Miami FC and Macron, technical partners since 2015, have unveiled the new ‘1896 Kit’ of the American club, a tribute to the year Miami was founded and the colours of the city’s flag. The new jersey reflects the great sense of belonging to the history and territory that Miami FC represents, which is a common thread connecting all of the club’s kits.
The 1896 Miami FC kit is white with a crew neck and sleeve edging in knitwear with orange detailing. In the centre of the jersey is a horizontal stripe in the colours of the city flag, orange, white and green, ‘broken’ in the middle by the coat of arms of the city of Miami. On the sleeves and on the back of the jersey, in embossed graphics, the date 1896 is repeated, highlighting the year in which Miami was officially incorporated as a city. The year 1896 is also printed in orange on the outer back neck.
On the chest are the Macron Hero and the Miami FC logo, the latter made in 3D print in a monochrome orange version. The backneck is customised on an orange background label with fine diagonal stripes in blue, orange, white and green, the club’s crest, the number 1896, the Macron logo and the words Designed in Bologna, certifying that each garment is conceived, designed and developed on the Macron Campus. The kit is completed by white shorts with orange diagonal bands on the hips and horizontal bands on the back thigh edge. The white socks have a horizontal orange stripe in the centre with Macron Hero on the front and the date 1896 on the back.
Using Eco Fabric, the 1896 Miami FC Kit also contains an important message of sustainability and respect for the environment. Like all the kits Macron makes for its partner clubs, it is made entirely of 100% polyester from post-consumer recycled plastic. Specifically, the club’s new jersey is made from Eco Softlock fabric, with the back panel in Eco Micromesh and the inserts in Eco Mesh, ensuring the garment’s lightness and breathability.
