The purple of the ‘Spirit of ’92’ in the new Away kit of Stoke City FC designed by Macron

The new Stoke City FC 2025/26 Away Kit, produced by Macron, pays tribute to a season especially cherished by Stoke City FC supporters: 1992/93.

Following the launch of the 2025/26 Home Kit, a shirt with an innovative design chosen by Stoke City FC fans, the English club has now unveiled its new 2025/26 Away Kit, produced by Macron, technical partner of the Potters. This Away Kit also makes a strong visual impact, with a retro appeal reflected both in its design and materials. It pays tribute to a season especially cherished by Stoke City FC supporters: 1992/93. That year, under manager Lou Macari and driven by Mark Stein’s goals, the Potters achieved a memorable promotion to the First Division. Their away strip for that campaign featured purple shades with yellow accents—now an iconic look.

The new Stoke City FC 2025/26 Away Kit is entirely purple, with a crew neck and sleeve cuffs trimmed in yellow. The shirt features a sublimated graphic pattern made up of purple and lilac shades, recalling the iconic design of the 1992/93 away kit. Adding further retro character to this new Away Kit is the fabric itself: Eco Everton, which has a distinctive luminous finish that visually recreates the look and feel of 1990s kits. As an Eco Fabric—made entirely from recycled post-consumer plastic—this nostalgic reference is also paired with a powerful message of sustainability and environmental awareness.

The internal backneck features a customised label displaying the Home Shirt graphic, with the Stoke City crest above it, alongside the Macron logo and the phrase Designed in Bologna, certifying that each garment is conceived, designed, and developed at the Macron Campus.

On the chest, the Macron Hero appears in yellow silicone print, while to the left is the crest used by the English club from the 1950s until 1977, and again from 1992 to 2001. This is essentially the coat of arms of the city of Stoke-on-Trent and, with the city itself marking its centenerary this year, the crest celebrates a landmark occasion for the Club, who also marked 100 years since City was added to their name. The Latin phrase VIS UNITA FORTIOR, the Club and city’s motto – which translates to United Strength is Stronger –  is also printed in yellow on the outer rear collar. The shorts, with yellow drawstrings, mirror the exact same graphic as the shirt. The socks feature three tones of purple: dark purple with a lighter purple top band and a mauve trim with a yellow stripe. The new Away Kit and all technical garments created by Macron for Stoke City FC are available now in the club’s dedicated section on macron.com.
