On the eve of their fourth Serie B league match, away to Monza, U.C. Sampdoria complete the unveiling of the 2025/26 Game Set with the presentation of the new Third Kit produced by Macron for the Blucerchiati. This third strip pays tribute to the history of Genova, and reaffirms the connection between football and fashion. Technical performance is combined with elegance, design and style, making it a garment to be worn both on the pitch and throughout the day.
The new 2025/26 Third Shirt of U.C. Sampdoria honours the ancient history of the old port of Genova and that ‘blue fabric’ initially used for sailcloth sacks on ships and later for the practical, hard-wearing work trousers of Genoese sailors. The famous ‘Blu di Genova’ which gave rise to the English term blue jeans (from the French bleu de Gênes) and the classic denim colour. It is this story that inspires the club’s new Third Kit: a fully denim-blue shirt with polo collar, three-button fastening and gold stitching. The iconic Blucerchiati detail appears on the sleeve edges, shirt hem, shorts inserts and socks.
On the chest, on the right, the Macron Hero in white silicone print; on the left, the U.C. Sampdoria crest, recalling the version used in the mid-1960s; and further down in the centre, the Cross of St George. On the outer back neck, the words BLU DI GENOVA are printed in white, further highlighting the reference to the famous denim fabric.
The inner neck label is customised with a half-Blucerchiati background and half graphic pattern taken from the Away Shirt, together with the Sampdoria crest, the Macron logo and the words Designed in Bologna, certifying and emphasising how every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus.
The kit is completed by shorts echoing the design and graphics of the shirt. The denim-blue socks feature a central Blucerchiati band. The shirt comes in slim fit and, like all kits produced by Macron for its partner clubs, has been made from Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester material obtained from post-consumer recycled plastic. Specifically, the fabric used is Eco Softlock, developed especially for game sets: lightweight, soft and durable. In addition, the Eco Micromesh back panel ensures maximum breathability.
The new 2025/26 Third Kit, along with other clothing and accessories in the merchandising line created by Macron for U.C. Sampdoria, is available at Samp City, at the Macron Sports Hub in Genova, on the club’s website and in the dedicated Blucerchiati section on macron.com.
