Barbarian F.C., the iconic invitational rugby club, and Macron, technical partner of the “BaaBaas”, have just presented the new Game Set and a new Training Jersey to use in next season’s internationals. The club, a true institution in the world of rugby, celebrates its 135th anniversary next year.
Such an iconic club needs an exemplary jersey, so the traditional black and white hoops once again appear front and back in the latest design but with a twist adding an off-white shade, to give that vintage, traditional look while the black stripes feature a subtle dye-sub pattern which echoes an old-style cotton jersey weave effect. The jersey has a polo shirt collar with a traditional two-button closure. The custom inside label has a black background and bears the Barbarian F.C. logo, the Macron logo, and the words ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying that the garment was conceived, designed, and developed at the Macron Campus. The Macron Hero is dye-sub printed in black on the right of the chest, while the club badge appears on the left. Printed in black on a white background behind the neck are the words “FLAIR – COURAGE – SPIRIT – PASSION”, accompanied by the club badge.
The new jersey also features embossed graphics on the shoulders, sleeves, and at the rear base of the back with a repeating pattern of the Barbarians’ traditional interwoven logo. Total black shorts complete the kit. In keeping with tradition, the socks are those worn by each player for their own club. The new kit is available in a Player body-fit version, in a Supporters Poly Replica fit, and in the traditional long and short sleeve Cotton Replica.
Presented in parallel with the game set was a new crew neck Rugby Training Jersey with a black base colour and innovative graphics pattern featuring horizontal non geometric thin stripes in all the colours of the rainbow. Both new shirts are made from Eco Fabric, a polyester material derived entirely from recycled post-consumer plastic, demonstrating the commitment to the environment shared by the club and technical sponsor. The shirts are made from Eco Armevo with Eco Bodytex and Eco Strong Mesh inserts for maximum strength, quality, lightness, and breathability. Finally there shall be a full collection of Training, Travel, Leisurewear and accessories that shall be launched along with this unique clubs collection.
