Macron is set to play a leading role in a special weekend of Spanish football. From 10 to 13 April 2026, on the occasion of Matchday 31 of LaLiga and Matchday 34 of LaLiga Hypermotion, the “Jornada Retro” will take centre stage: a unique initiative designed to revive the aesthetics of the past and bring some of the most iconic and beloved designs back onto the pitch.
The project was unveiled in the elegant setting of Madrid Fashion Week, where football, fashion and heritage come together in a celebration of identity, tradition and sporting culture. Among the retro shirts presented, eight bear the Macron signature and have been created for as many partner clubs across Primera and Segunda División: Levante UD, CA Osasuna, Real Sociedad, UD Almería, Burgos CF, Cádiz CF, AD Ceuta FC and Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa.
A further confirmation of Macron’s leading role in Spanish football: with nine teams supplied – including Real Sociedad B – the brand is the most represented across the top two divisions. A record that reflects Macron’s ongoing commitment to creating highly bespoke kits, meticulously crafted and deeply rooted in the identity, history and symbols of its partner clubs.
Completing this journey through time, match officials across all 21 fixtures will also wear a retro-inspired kit, as part of Macron’s partnership with the RFEF since the 2020/21 season, adding another layer to what promises to be a unique and immersive “Jornada Retro”.

Levante UD (LaLiga)
The kit is a tribute to the club’s origins, founded in 1907 as FC Cabanyal. The shirt features an off-white base crossed by an iconic black diagonal sash, faithfully recalling the earliest kits in the club’s history. The essential and timeless design is further enhanced by the tone-on-tone application of both the embroidered Macron Hero on the right chest and the club crest on the left, preserving a clean aesthetic in line with early 20th-century football. Refined details and celebratory elements highlight the deep connection to the club’s roots.

CA Osasuna (LaLiga)
This kit pays homage to the Osasuna side of the early 1980s, a team that reached the top flight with a vibrant, vertical and identity-driven style of play. The design is clean and bold, with the club’s iconic red taking centre stage, enhanced by the use of Eco Piola fabric, which reinforces its vintage inspiration. The retro club crest, embroidered on the left chest, references the badge used during that era, recalling a time when El Sadar became a symbol of passion and belonging.

Real Sociedad (LaLiga)
Inspired by the 1994/95 season, the shirt reinterprets the Basque club’s traditional style with a clear nod to 1990s aesthetics. It features a polo collar enriched with geometric detailing, while the classic blue and white vertical stripes are interrupted on the chest to accommodate the embroidered club crest and Macron Hero. The use of Eco Everton fabric enhances the retro feel thanks to its distinctive sheen, reminiscent of materials used in the 1990s. A standout detail is the commemorative logo of the Estadio de Atocha on the back neck, honouring the club’s historic home until 1993.

UD Almería (LaLiga Hypermotion)
The shirt draws inspiration from the Home kits of the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons, pivotal years marked by promotion to Segunda División and subsequent survival. The design reflects that era of growth, turning a key historical moment into a symbol of identity. It features a polo collar and traditional red and white stripes of varying widths, with a wider central red stripe and narrower stripes on the sides. Black piping separating the shoulders from the body further reinforces the early-2000s aesthetic.

Burgos CF (LaLiga Hypermotion)
The special kit pays tribute to the 2000/01 season, culminating in promotion to Segunda División through the play-offs. Twenty-five years on, Burgos CF celebrates that achievement with a retro-inspired shirt reinterpreted through a modern lens. White dominates the design, complemented by black stripes along the sides and upper section, which connect across the shoulders to create visual continuity. The polo-style collar enhances the vintage look, while advanced technical fabrics ensure comfort and breathability, blending heritage with modern performance.

Cádiz CF (LaLiga Hypermotion)
The shirt is inspired by the away kits worn during the 1996/97 and 1997/98 seasons, reimagined with a bold and visually striking design. The central body features a gradient graphic combining royal blue and navy bands, while the shoulders are enriched with yellow panels detailed with blue accents and repeated Macron Hero logos. The retro feel is further emphasised by the use of the club crest in its 1990s version.

AD Ceuta FC (LaLiga Hypermotion)
The design draws inspiration from 1980s football shirts, embracing a strong vintage aesthetic. Elements such as the checked collar and the typography used for the “Ceuta” lettering evoke tradition and local identity, creating a connection with the Estadio Murube. The fully embroidered crest completes a shirt that pays homage to the techniques and style of a bygone era.

Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa (LaLiga Hypermotion)
The shirt is inspired by the club’s origins, revisiting the grey of its first historic kit. The design features strong identity-driven elements linked to the architectural heritage of León. A radial pattern inspired by the rose window of León Cathedral is integrated into the fabric, while the front graphic recalls the structure of flying buttresses, creating a visual link between football and architecture. The inscription “Orgullo de León”, rendered in a historic typeface, reinforces the sense of belonging, while crimson details on the collar and sides reference traditional colours and the club’s heraldic identity.
