LOU Rugby and Macron have unveiled the new 2025/26 Home Kit to be worn during the upcoming Top 14 season, the premier rugby league in France. The new home jersey, which will be used for matches played at the historic Stade de Gerland, blends respect for the club’s tradition and colours with a modern and innovative design, paying tribute to the architecture of one of the most famous buildings in Lyon – the Musée des Confluences.
Founded in 1896, the Lyon Olympique Universitaire Rugby is one of the oldest clubs in French rugby, boasting in its honours list two French Championship titles, one national cup and the European Rugby Challenge Cup, won in 2022. The partnership with Macron is one of the longest-standing in the rugby landscape, having begun in 2013 and thus well surpassing the 10-year mark.
The new LOU Rugby 2025/26 Home shirt features a red polo collar with a black stripe, a colour combination also present on the sleeve cuffs. The shirt is predominantly black with red side panels and is distinguished by a geometric tone-on-tone all-over graphic, with a shaded effect in various hues ranging from grey to black. This design is a reference to the glass façade of the Musée des Confluences, which with its innovative and modern structure represents a true landmark for the city of Lyon.
On the chest, centred and one above the other, are the white Macron Hero and the club’s crest. On the outside of the back of the neck, ‘LOU RUGBY’ is printed in white. The internal backneck is customised with a label featuring the shirt’s graphic detail, the club logo, the Macron logo, and the phrase ‘Designed in Bologna”, certifying and highlighting that each garment is conceived, designed, and developed at the Macron Campus. Black shorts with red detailing and black socks with a red top border complete the home kit.
The new LOU Rugby Home Kit, like all those made by Macron for its partner clubs, is entirely in Eco Fabric – 100% polyester fabrics derived from post-consumer recycled plastic. Specifically, the main fabric used is Eco Armevo, and the inclusion of Eco Boditex and Eco Strong Mesh inserts ensures top performance and durability, along with lightness and perfect breathability.
