The Italian national cricket team is set to take part in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time in its history, following qualification secured in July last year. The tournament will take place from February to March in India and Sri Lanka, and the Azzurri will take to the field wearing the new kits produced by Macron, technical partner of the Federazione Cricket Italiana since 2021.
Accompanying the players in this prestigious international competition is the iconic Azzurro of the jerseys designed by Macron which, as with all partner clubs and federations, convey a clear message of sustainability and respect for the environment. All kits are made from Eco Fabric, a 100% polyester material derived from post-consumer recycled plastic. The blue base is enriched by a pattern inspired by Renaissance floral designs, capturing the spirit of a historical period in which humanity and its creative potential were placed at the centre of everything.
The new kit for the Italian national team consists of a blue shirt featuring a polo collar in a darker shade, echoed by the bands on the shoulders and along the sides. The collar features a three-button fastening and a tricolour detail. The inside of the collar is customised with a white and blue label bearing the F.CR.I. logo, the Macron logo and the wording Designed in Bologna, certifying that each garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus.
On the chest, the Federation crest patch appears on the left, with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup logo on the right, while the word ITALY is positioned centrally below in white. The Macron Hero also appears in white on the sleeve. On the outer backneck, the Italian tricolour is printed. On both the front and back of the shirt, along the outer side, a tone-on-tone Renaissance-style floral graphic with a slightly shaded effect completes the design.
Completing the kit are blue long trousers with white drawstrings and darker blue bands running along the sides and across the back at calf height. On the front at thigh level, the F.CR.I. crest appears on the right, with the Macron Hero on the left.
The garments are made from Eco Gotex, a technical fabric specifically developed for game sets. The presence of Eco Mesh inserts ensures maximum lightness and excellent breathability.
