Macron and the Federazione Italiana Rugby (F.I.R.) have officially unveiled the new 2025/26 Home and Alternate Kits, designed to accompany the men’s and women’s Italian national rugby teams through an intense new sporting season. These kits tell a story of deep national identity, expressed through historical references, iconic symbols and carefully considered colour choices. A perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, enhanced by the refined design of the Macron Style Department and the use of high-performance materials.
A design that celebrates Italy and the ‘Risorgimento’
At the heart of all the 2025/26 Game Set lies inspiration from Botticino Marble, the same used in the construction of the Vittoriano, the national monument symbolic of Italian unification located in the city centre of Rome. The marble-effect graphic, created using tone-on-tone sublimation printing, pays tribute to these unique veins and becomes a hallmark of both the Home and Away kits.
Adding further value to the design, on a gold background inside the collar is the phrase attributed to Giuseppe Garibaldi during the Battle of Calatafimi – “QUI SI FA L’ITALIA O SI MUORE!” (Here we make Italy or we die!) – a symbol of the spirit and courage that unites all Azzurri players.
Exclusive details and premium Macron quality
The shirts are distinguished by an elegant gold-trimmed polo collar, a customised back neck featuring the F.I.R. and Macron logos, and the wording “Designed in Bologna”, underlining that each garment is conceived and created at the Macron Campus, the headquarters of the leading sportswear brand in Valsamoggia.
On the chest, the Macron Hero is embroidered in gold in the Home version and in navy blue in the Away, complementing the Federation’s crest. On the outer rear collar, the word ITALIA in gold appears alongside the Italian tricolour, while the back features an embossed graphic of the Vittoriano, adding an extra touch of elegance and national pride.

A special Game Set for the Women’s Rugby World Cup
For the prestigious occasion of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, to be held in England, Macron has also created a dedicated WRWC Game Set for the Azzurre, incorporating the same design elements as the main collection, with the addition of the tournament’s official logo printed in gold on the chest.

The new kits are made from Eco Fabric, a 100% recycled polyester derived from recovered plastic, demonstrating Macron and F.I.R.’s genuine commitment to environmental sustainability. The materials used – Eco Bodytex, Eco Armevo and Eco Strong Mesh – ensure lightness, breathability and durability: key features to support athletes throughout a demanding season that includes the Autumn Nations Series 2025 and the iconic Guinness Six Nations.
