Green and gold in the new 2025/26 Home kit designed by Macron for Connacht Rugby

Connacht Rugby, the Irish club that has been wearing Macron for two seasons, will kick off its United Rugby Championship campaign on 27 September at the Dexom Stadium, hosting Benetton Rugby. On that occasion, the team will wear the new 2025/26 Home Kit unveiled today and designed by the Italian brand. Irish green and gold accents define the first jersey of the team representing the westernmost province of the Republic of Ireland.

The new Connacht Rugby 2025/26 Home Jersey features a polo collar with gold stripes, a detail also present on the sleeve cuffs. The jersey combines two shades of green—darker on the shoulders and sleeves, lighter and brighter on the front, back, and sides. These areas also showcase a tone-on-tone graphic of intersecting diagonal lines, creating depth and movement. On the front, the pattern is sublimated, while on the sides it is embossed.

The backneck is customised with a dark green background, a diagonal gold band containing a lighter green stripe. Prominently featured in gold are the club crest, the Macron logo, and the phrase ‘Designed in Bologna’, highlighting that every garment is conceived, designed, and developed at the Macron Campus. At the centre of the chest, the Macron Hero stands out in gold, with the team badge to the left. On the lower front of the jersey, slightly offset to the left, the number 140 is applied in gold, accompanied by the dates 1885 – 2025, celebrating the anniversary of the club’s founding and its long-standing heritage.

The kit is completed by dark green shorts with white drawstrings and side panels that echo the geometric pattern found on the jersey. The socks are green with two fine gold stripes in the centre of the upper cuff. A green that, in addition to representing Connacht Rugby’s identity, also conveys a clear message of sustainability. As with all kits produced by Macron for its partner clubs, the set is made from Eco Fabric — 100% polyester derived from post-consumer recycled plastic. The jersey features a body fit. The main fabric used is Eco Armevo, while inserts in Eco Boditex and Eco Strong Mesh ensure high performance and durability, combined with lightness and excellent breathability.
