Cardiff Rugby, the historic Welsh team competing in the United Rugby Championship, has unveiled its new 2025/26 match kits created by Macron, the club’s technical partner since the 2018/19 season. In addition to the traditional black and light-blue horizontal stripes for the Home version and the return of pink for the Away kit, the new designs stand out for their strong tribute to the identity of both the club and the city it represents: Cardiff.
The new 2025/26 Cardiff Rugby Home shirt features the traditional black and light-blue horizontal stripes across the front, back and sleeves. The collar is black, and inside it runs a customised tape bearing the bilingual message Strength Through Unity and Nerth Trwy Undod. Within the light-blue areas, the shirt is enriched with a tone-on-tone sublimated graphic depicting several iconic landmarks of the city of Cardiff. These include the Principality Stadium, the Cardiff Arms Park sign, Cardiff Castle, the National Museum, the Pierhead Building, the Wales Millennium Centre, the Roath Park Lighthouse and the statue dedicated to Billy the Seal. The back neck features a customised label in club colours, with a background echoing the shirt’s graphic design, alongside the Cardiff Rugby crest, the Macron logo and the wording ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying and highlighting how every garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus. On the chest, on the right and in white, is the Macron Hero, with the Welsh club’s crest on the left. On the back of the external collar, the year 1876 – the club’s founding date – is printed in white. At the lower back, embossed tone-on-tone, appears the design of the Arms Park entrance arch, the stadium hosting Cardiff Rugby’s home games, together with the bilingual hashtags #ALWAYSCARDIFF and #YMLAENCAERDYDD. The shorts are black with white drawstrings and feature a broad light-blue horizontal band at the back. The light-blue socks have a central black horizontal stripe and another at the top border.
For the 2025/26 Away kit, pink once again takes centre stage, as it did two seasons ago. The central body, front and back, features horizontal bands in two shades of pink, one slightly lighter than the other. The crewneck, sleeve edges, side bands and the entire lower back section are in a dark navy-blue shade. The inside collar is customised in the same way as the Home version, while the back of the external collar again carries the date 1876, this time in navy blue. At the lower back of the shirt, an embossed print shows a simplified version of the shield with three upward-pointing chevrons, a symbol referring to Cardiff’s three rivers and a long-standing emblem of the city. The kit is completed with pink shorts with navy-blue side bands, and pink socks with a navy-blue top border.
The fit is Body Fit. Both kits are entirely made of Eco Fabric, a material produced 100% from post-consumer recycled plastic. In both cases, the main fabric used is Eco Armevo, ensuring maximum elasticity, resistance and high performance.
