On 5 November 1875, at the Leger Hotel in Blackburn, Blackburn Rovers Football Club was founded. 150 years filled with history and success that the English club celebrates this year, also paying tribute through key details on the new Game Set created by Macron, partner of the Rovers since the 2021/22 season. The first to be unveiled is the new Home Kit, which blends tradition with refined graphic choices and references to the club’s important and prestigious anniversary.
The 2025/26 Home shirt of Blackburn Rovers FC features its iconic half-and-half configuration — white (right) and blue (left) — with sleeves in reversed colours. The V-neck collar features white and blue trim, a colour combination also found on the sleeve edges. The shirt, both front and back, features an embossed graphic composed of fine vertical lines representing the thorny stem of the rose — the Lancashire rose, symbol of the team and of the county in which the city of Blackburn lies. The backneck is customised with a label featuring the club’s colours and displaying the special gold anniversary crest created to mark 150 years of the club’s history. On the left side of the label is the Macron logo and the phrase ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying and highlighting that each garment is conceived, designed and developed at the Macron Campus, the Italian brand’s headquarters.
On the chest, on the right side and embroidered in black, is the Macron Hero, and on the left, the Blackburn Rovers FC crest. Another valuable detail is the custom tape on the inside front hem of the shirt, where, interspersed with rose motifs, are the numbers 1875 – 150 – 2025. On the outer rear collar, the special commemorative logo is applied in black, depicting rose branches ‘embracing’ a coin with the number 150 at the centre. The shorts are white with blue detailing on the sides and thigh trim. The socks are blue with a white top border and two horizontal white stripes at the centre.
The Home kit of Blackburn Rovers FC is made from Eco Fabric, a polyester material made entirely from post-consumer recycled plastic. Specifically, the fabric used is Eco Everton, which creates a vintage, shimmering effect recalling the aesthetics of kits from the 1980s and 1990s.
