Tomorrow morning’s friendly match against Juventus at Continassa (the Bianconeri’s training ground) will offer AC Reggiana fans the chance to see two of the three kits that make up the new 2025/26 Game Set, which the Granata will wear during the upcoming Serie BKT season.
Designed by Macron, the club’s technical partner since 2018, the new Home and Special kits honour the history and tradition of AC Reggiana, with a distinctly retro flair reflected in both the fabric and texture used. As with all garments produced by Macron for its partner clubs, the new Home and Special kits are entirely made from Eco Fabric, a polyester fabric derived from 100% recycled post-consumer plastic. This confirms the joint commitment of both brand and club to environmental sustainability.
The 2025/26 AC Reggiana Home shirt celebrates the centenary of the club’s most classic kit: granata shirt, navy blue shorts, and black socks. It was during the 1925/26 season that navy shorts were first paired with the granata shirt (previously worn with white shorts), a colour that until then had only featured on the shirt. The design features a crew neck with navy blue detailing. The dominant granata colour is enriched on this occasion with a tone-on-tone graphic texture covering the entire kit. This texture replicates the surface weave typical of vintage shirts. The retro feel is further enhanced by the use of Eco Everton fabric, which reflects light to create visual effects reminiscent of old-school kits. On the chest, in silicone print, the white Macron Hero appears on the right, and the AC Reggiana crest on the left. At the back of the neck, a tab featuring the colours of the Italian flag is stitched on, referencing Reggio Emilia as the Città del Tricolore. Slightly below, within a triangular area on the outer back neck bordered by navy piping, the word ‘Reggiana’ appears in white heat-pressed lettering. The shorts are navy blue with black drawstrings and granata side bands with white detailing. The black socks have a granata top band with a fine white horizontal stripe.
The Special 2025/26 version comes in grey with a crew neck and sleeve cuffs in granata, matched by a wide granata horizontal band across the chest. This shirt is also made using Eco Everton fabric, giving it a vintage look and feel, and features a fine vertical embossed pinstripe pattern, creating an elegant gessato effect. On the right-hand side seam, just above the hem, there is a tricolour detail: three bartack stitches in green, white and red, paying tribute to the Città del Tricolore. The Macron Hero on the chest is in granata silicone print. The word Reggiana on the back of the neck is also in granata. The kit is completed with granata shorts featuring grey drawstrings and leg cuffs, and grey socks with a granata top band. Seventy years ago, during the 1955/56 season, the team captained by Aldo Catalani earned a historic promotion to Serie C, breaking records along the way. This marked the beginning of a remarkable rise that saw the Granata climb from the fourth tier to Serie B in just three years, repeatedly challenging for a place in the top flight. It was during this era, in the late 1950s, that the club – then led by Luigi Del Grosso – wore an Away shirt which has inspired the 2025/26 version.
For both shirts, the inner backneck label is customised with the club colours, crest, the wording AC REGGIANA 1919, the Macron logo, and the phrase ‘Designed in Bologna’, certifying that every garment is conceived, designed, and developed at the Macron Campus in Valsamoggia. The kits come in a Slim Fit and, as mentioned, are primarily made using Eco Everton fabric. The inclusion of a back panel in Eco Micromesh ensures softness, maximum lightness, and breathability. The new 2025/26 AC Reggiana kits are available for purchase online in the section dedicated to the club on macron.com.
