Combining a passion for sport with work is not something to be taken for granted, but for Nicola Giuntoli, now a sales representative at the Macron Sports Hub in Modena, it has become a daily, concrete, and motivating challenge. Having joined the company in December 2022, he immediately experienced the transition from athlete to teamwear professional.
“Today I look for new clients, support sports clubs and companies, manage orders, and guide them from the choice of materials to final delivery. But I used to be on the other side: I received the gear as an athlete. This dual perspective truly helps me understand the needs of teams.”
His approach is practical, attentive, and personalized: knowing the products, being able to present them effectively, and listening to those who use them makes all the difference.
“Depending on the sport, needs, language, and key focus points change. Learning how to move across these different contexts is part of the job.”
Training and people: the ingredients for growth
For Nicola, growing at Macron also means being supported by people who can pass on experience and method.
“I owe a lot to Davide, my store manager. He was my guide during the first months and taught me things I could never have learned on my own. His support was essential.”
A journey built on continuous mentoring and relational awareness.
“In the world of sport, relationships are everything: you need balance, clarity, but also empathy. And that’s something you refine day by day.”
Making a difference, one client at a time
At Macron, the relationship with the client is central, and this is reflected in every stage of the work.
“Our strength lies in service quality. Our clients appreciate punctuality, responsiveness, and tools like MyMacronKit, which allows them to visualize in real time the customization of jerseys, sweatshirts, and kits. It’s an added value that truly makes a difference.”
A service built on trust, transparency, and genuine attention to detail, strengthening relationships and building long-term loyalty.
Achievements, challenges, and ambitious goals
Like every new beginning, Nicola’s was not easy.
“I had little experience, and I was dealing with people much older and more experienced than me. The first six months were demanding.”
But the first achievements soon followed.
“Closing contracts with some clubs in my first year was a huge satisfaction. And then seeing athletes proudly wearing our apparel, appreciating it both aesthetically and technically, gives real meaning to the work. Even parents’ satisfaction is a reward you don’t expect, but one that makes it all worthwhile.”
An enthusiasm that turns into ambition:
“My dream? To outfit the entire provinces of Modena and Reggio Emilia. The goal is to see everyone wearing Macron!”
Experiencing Macron’s evolution
Nicola embraces Macron’s transformation with great enthusiasm.
“Seeing what we are today and imagining what we could become in a few years makes me feel part of something big and constantly evolving. Feeling part of this transformation, in my sector, is a source of pride.”
A transformation that also involves his role and the way he interprets it.
“To improve every day you need training, discussion, and a strong willingness to challenge yourself. The courses dedicated to the sales network are a great support: they are tools that help us grow together.”
Macron as a synonym for reliability
When asked what Macron represents, Nicola answers without hesitation: reliability.
“Macron is reliable because the people who work there are reliable. It’s reliable for clients, who know they can trust us. And that trust is not something to be taken for granted: it’s a certainty that creates value, inside and outside the company.”
