Macron continues its remarkable growth journey with the laying of the first pillar of Building 4 at the Macron Campus.
Tceremony was attended by Michele De Pascale, President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Matteo Lepore, Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Bologna, and Milena Zanna, Mayor of Valsamoggia – a demonstration of the strategic importance the project holds for the entire region.
The new building marks another milestone in the evolution of the Macron Campus and reflects the company’s ongoing growth strategy. During the press conference, CEO Gianluca Pavanello announced a double-digit increase in sales for the first half of 2025, up 14.7% compared to the same period in 2024 – a year which closed with a record turnover of €224 million.
With an investment of approximately €15 million, the project will see the creation of a new 15,000 m² facility that will significantly enhance the company’s operational capacity. The building will also house the new Macron Workshop, a customisation hub that will expand from 600 m² to 2,500 m², quadrupling its space and strengthening the Embellishment Centre’s capabilities. This major expansion will create new employment opportunities for highly skilled professionals and further reinforce Macron’s people-centred philosophy.
The expansion works – scheduled for completion by the end of January 2026 – will increase the total footprint of the Macron Headquarters to over 115,000 m². New facilities are also planned for the Campus, including a 500 m² gym, an on-site store for visitors, and a Padel Arena dedicated to employees, collaborators and partners. These developments confirm the Macron Campus as a true corporate ecosystem, designed with a strong focus on innovation, efficiency, and environmental sustainability. For instance, green areas will grow from the current 25,000 m² to approximately 40,000 m², thanks to the planting of over 100 new trees.
Gianluca Pavanello, CEO Macron: “Building 4 of the Macron Campus represents far more than an extension of our headquarters. It is a concrete expression of our belief in the future – in our territory and in our team. Growing here, where it all began, is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us from the very beginning. We want this place to become a magnet for talent from around the world, ready to shape the future with us. It is also the tangible sign of a company that continues to evolve, that never stops dreaming and building – with discipline, determination and vision. To invest in the future is to build a larger home: one that welcomes bolder ideas, braver individuals, and even more ambitious projects. The Campus is not only the beating heart of Macron – it is a space of inspiration: dynamic, sustainable, and forward-thinking. For us, beautiful things are born in beautiful places.”
Michele De Pascale, President of the Emilia-Romagna Region: “We are here to celebrate a new challenge – a major investment by a company that has achieved extraordinary results over the years. Macron embodies Italian ingenuity, flair and capability. This combination has enabled the company to excel in a highly competitive sector, taking the concept of ‘Designed in Bologna’ to every corner of the globe. The global challenges we face today require a blend of solutions and strategies – and Macron is a prime example of how to respond effectively. When businesses continue to invest, they help build communities and attract talent. In doing so, Macron becomes a key point of reference for those who wish to contribute to this remarkable story of enterprise and sport. The Region is proud to stand beside Macron on this extraordinary journey.”
Matteo Lepore, Mayor of the Metropolitan City of Bologna: “It is a great pleasure to be here at the Macron Campus, with a company that represents an innovative and responsible approach to business. Macron looks to global markets while keeping its roots firmly planted in our region. That pleasure is doubled when we see Bologna FC shirts being produced here – especially with the Coppa Italia badge on display – knowing they will reach fans across the world and further fuel the growing interest of international tourists in Bologna’s merchandise. I’ve always admired Macron’s commitment to supporting a wide range of sports – not just football and basketball – as well as its backing for many important local initiatives. We are proud to stand alongside this company.”
Milena Zanna, Mayor of Valsamoggia: “Having Macron based in our area is a true source of pride. It is a company that continues to grow with strength and consistency, upholding and promoting the positive values of sport – including inclusion, wellbeing, and sustainability. The laying of the first pillar of the new building represents far more than structural progress – it is the clear sign of a vision, of steady growth, and of Macron’s deep and enduring bond with the territory it has long called home. It also confirms Valsamoggia’s ability to offer fertile ground for businesses looking to invest, with the right conditions for growth and long-term success. To Macron, to all those who contribute to its success each day, and to everyone involved in this new chapter, we extend our very best wishes for the future.”
The future of Macron is taking shape – and the Campus remains at the heart of the company’s growth.
