From developer to team leader
Marco Pasini joined Macron five and a half years ago as a web developer. Today, he is Head of E-commerce Development, leading a team of around ten people, including both internal and external collaborators. His group is responsible for managing and evolving strategic portals: the macron.com website, B2B channels for stores, portals for partner federations, and clubshops for registered members.
“My role is to gather needs and turn them into practical solutions. Every day, we work to improve the digital experience.”
A path of growth and awareness
Marco explains that his professional growth came through a constant willingness to challenge himself. Shortly after joining the company, he earned the trust to start leading a team. A significant acknowledgment, but also a continuous challenge.
“I used to do things a certain way. Then I realized there was room for improvement. Growth, to me, means changing your approach when needed.”
Club Shop: an ambitious project
One of the most demanding projects has been the Online Club Shop, a platform designed to simplify purchases for club members. It’s a technical yet strategic initiative, born from careful analysis and continuous listening to company needs.
“Results don’t come for free. We understood where the company was heading and acted accordingly. Today’s outcomes prove it.”
Being a protagonist every day
At Macron, Marco has found an environment that challenges him daily. The complexity of the projects requires organization, clarity, time management, and constant communication with colleagues and clients.
“Here, you’re asked to take the lead. For me, that’s exciting. When you achieve a goal, the satisfaction is even greater.”
Change, belonging, ambition
Marco has personally experienced the changes that have made Macron an even more ambitious company. These changes are felt in daily operations and push everyone to keep pace.
“You question yourself every day. It’s a healthy kind of competition that drives you to grow and make a difference.”
The word he uses to describe Macron? Competition. The kind needed to win in the market and keep innovating.
