BOLOGNA (ITALY), 11 December 2025 – Macron S.p.A. proudly announces the publication of its first Bilancio di Sostenibilità (“Sustainability Report”): a crucial step in defining a virtuous growth model capable of combining economic performance, social responsibility and environmental stewardship.
Macron’s Sustainability Report, covering the 2024 calendar year, introduces clear and measurable reporting on the initiatives undertaken by the Bologna-based brand in the ESG sphere. It presents the results of a strategy that is increasingly integrated into corporate processes and oriented towards the creation of long-term value, grounded in the three fundamental pillars of sustainability: Environment, Social Responsibility and Governance.
The document highlights Macron’s commitment across these three areas. In particular, during 2024, the Italian brand strengthened its contribution to reducing environmental impact through the increased use of recycled materials (+33%), the rise in products made with “Eco-Fabric” textiles (+40%), the launch of a partnership with Eso-Recycling for end-of-life product management, and the introduction of systematic measurement of Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. At the same time, the company reaffirmed the centrality of its people by investing in their wellbeing and safety, enhancing professional development programmes, and expanding collaborations with external partners to enrich skills and managerial culture. This journey is completed by strengthened governance, through the formal establishment of the ESG Committee, the adoption of the 231 organisational model, and the development of a three-year Sustainability Plan.
Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron, commented: “Our growth journey is measured not only through economic and financial indicators, but also through our commitment to social and environmental sustainability goals. We believe that a company’s true value lies in its ability to generate a positive impact on the planet, on people and on the communities in which it operates. Being a responsible company means acting with integrity, listening to real needs, building authentic relationships and contributing tangibly to a fairer, more inclusive and more cohesive society. The publication of our first Sustainability Report makes us proud of the progress achieved and fully aware of the challenges ahead: we will continue to work to combine growth, positive social impact and environmental respect, convinced that Macron’s future will increasingly depend on a virtuous balance between these essential elements.”
The publication of this first Sustainability Report marks the beginning of a structured journey of continuous improvement. Macron reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda and to pursuing a responsible growth model based on transparency, innovation and the creation of shared value for all stakeholders.
