From junior graphic designer to team coordination
When Nilia Satta joined Macron at just 21 years old, she brought with her a great passion for graphic design, some brief experiences, and a strong desire to prove herself. Today, 13 years later, she is a Custom Designer Coordinator: she leads a team of six people and coordinates projects that combine creativity, production, and interaction across multiple departments.
“I joined like a schoolgirl with little experience. Today, I feel like a confident professional, a point of reference not just for work, but also on a personal level.”
Change as a driver of growth
Over more than a decade of experience, Nilia has witnessed firsthand the profound changes the company has gone through. She’s worked under four different managers and collaborated with more than twenty colleagues in an environment that has evolved without losing its team spirit.
“Change isn’t always negative. It challenges you, helps you grow. That’s how you build trust and self-awareness.”
A job built on interaction and synergy
Nilia’s team works closely with other departments: quality control, sales, customer service, and production. Each project is the result of an interplay of skills and collaboration.
“Trust among colleagues is essential. Everyone can support one another. That’s the only way to reach the final result.”
Leading also means listening
In her current role, Nilia has learned that coordinating a team isn’t just about organization, but also empathy. Managing people with unique personalities and skills means listening to them, recognizing their value, and motivating them.
“Sometimes you even have to be a bit of a psychologist. Knowing the people around you is the first step to creating a positive work environment.”
From a medium-sized business to a global brand
Nilia has seen Macron grow from a medium-sized business to a global company. This transformation brought in many young talents and expanded into new sectors: from sports to lifestyle, and even the motorsport world.
“It’s up to us, the old guard, to guide new colleagues and help them find their way. That’s how you build a strong team.”
A dynamic environment, never the same
No two days at Macron are alike. For Nilia, it’s precisely this dynamism that strengthens her deep sense of belonging. In addition to graphic design, she’s also involved in aspects of production, maintaining direct contact with foreign suppliers and actively contributing to the realization of the garments.
Sport, moreover, is part of her identity:
“I played volleyball and soccer: I feel at home here. Knowing that people wear what we’ve designed is truly motivating.”
Pride and passion in her work
Client recognition, completed projects, and achievements with the team: all of it makes Nilia proud of her journey. More than just a job, it’s a commitment that has left a mark.
“When you receive compliments for your helpfulness and for the final result of a jersey you created, you realize you’ve done something beautiful. It’s fulfilling.”
Macron? A positive hurricane
When asked, “If you had to describe Macron in one word?”, Nilia answers without hesitation: hurricane. But in a positive sense.
“Macron is an energy that sweeps through, overcomes obstacles, and always reaches its goal. Our logo, the Macron Hero, symbolizes celebration. And that’s exactly what we are: we always make it happen.”
